I remember during at least the first couple of years of the Brownells retro line of stuff coming out that these Brownells A1 stock screws came with a white Nylok patch as shown here. > Link.

Last year I ordered one and and it was clearly a different screw with no white Nylok patch. So I was wondering if I ordered one now what I might get? I'd prefer the older ones with the locking patch.

@556Cliff we had to get them to remove the thread locker as too much was getting applied, making installation difficult.  We are getting the photos updated to reflect the new configuration.

Hmm, I never had an issue with the white patch, I thought it felt about the same as the red and blue patches you sometimes run into on other A1 and A2 stock screws. Now the tan/yellow patch that you find on some sling swivel screws can be a bear to power through.

Anyways, so it's the same screw from the same manufacturer just without the white thread locking patch?
