It looks PSA's turning out it's own barrels, lowers, uppers, triggers, complete guns like AK's, AR15's, AR10's, MP5's and so on. In addition to the machine work that's going on, there's assembly, testing, packing, marketing, sales, shipping and so on.
Seems like PSA could put quite a few behind the scenes videos together that might just help everyone understand what all you have going on and put some faces to the company brand. |

@Wangstang
We are actually working on those videos at the moment. We have over 250 CNC machines, and actually forge a lot of our own lowers and uppers. We will let you guys know when we get all of it together. Thank you Josiah |

nice i keep trying to get a road trip together to visit a retail store as well. nice to see a video of the manufacture process. I think it would shut up a lot of the PSA hate.

I'd love to see some videos and pics of the manufacturing facility.

@PalmettoStateArmory
Well played PSA!!! Is the "O" marked forging your upper receiver forge code? I never saw them until I purchased PSA gear. Thanks |

I will get a pic of our forging mark and post it here shortly.
Thanks Josiah |

Soooooooo, just to clarify, PSA is MORE than just an assembler of firearms from other manufacturers parts?! PSA is in this for the long haul with the investment in some high dollar forging equipment. What's the end goal? Is PSA going to manufacture ALL of it's own forgings and parts for all the firearms it offers? Will PSA be the new QUALITY kid on the block?
My 8 ball says "yes". |
|
Well, let's see... get my tripod and BlackMagic camera, lighting gear, drive to South Carolina.. a couple days filming... hmmm, oughta be worth a couple ARs... (j 1/2 k)

(think freedom group style) I can say this as it was stated sometime ago by PSA that they are under JJE, for the longest time i couldnt say that. |

I mean it with all due respect but ask because over the years...at times you've answered posts in this industry forum as if you were a: big fan of PSA an employee of PSA an employee of a supplier for PSA a guy who just hangs out at their retail shop a lot and may know simi-reliable details because he talks to the front end guys a general consumer with some PSA items As such, I never knew how to take your posts and at times they conflicted with what the old @PalmettoStateArmory account rep would post, which further muddied the waters. I have to say, the support and timely response provided by Josiah under the @PalmettoStateArmory account has really turned my opinion of PSA around. He quickly resolved an issue for me as soon as I sent him a message and I had the replacement part in hand in less than 4 business days of sending him a message here. His willingness to answer questions for threads like this and get answers to technical details of all types is like a night and day difference. Add to it that my last two orders actually shipped quickly and PSA may actually be trying to fix what they can while still keeping costs down. |

@Wangstang
@Gamecock operator has no affiliation with PSA, other than that he loves and uses our products. He is not an employee, or employee of a supplier etc. He is a great guy who loves shooting sports. I have met him personally, so I hope that clears things up for you a bit. He has met and talked to some "higher up" employees, so someone may have told him not to say anything. Hope this helps! Great thread! Can't wait for the PA5 to hit the streets. Saving now.

Thank you for the insight.
I am very happy to see PSA improving customer relations. As well as expanding firearm production. I can tell by the photos there is a someone that knows what they are doing. Being more open and candid, will produce FAR more faithful consumers. Josiah, keep up the excellent work. |

@Wangstang It is just on uppers. Thank you Josiah View Quote Any word on how your lowers will be marked? Or just rollmarked Palmetto info as they currently are? |
|
Lowers will not have a roll mark, and will be as usual.
Thank you, Josiah |

We can neither confirm nor deny! That is our forge mark for Spartan Forge. Thank you, Josiah |
|
|
View Quote Spartan Forge? I are confused. Eta: if you are adding your own forging equipment, why use an established forge marking? You are in fact forging these? And how will you decipher which you have done. There are so many Sigmas already on the market. Eta2: these forge marks seem exclusive to PSA uppers. Is this where the swap figures in? Inquiring minds want to know. |
