Note that they list both the long/short and long/long versions: Colt Ambidextrous Semi-Auto Safety Selector Colt Ambidextrous Semi-Auto Safety Selector w/ Full Size Levers That means they don't have an excuse for advertising it with the long/short configuration but sending you the long/long, other than messing up the order. Just for awareness, as someone pointed out in one of the Colt clone threads, neither of these is "military clone correct," if that's what you're looking for The military ambi selector has a shorter long lever on the non-bolt side (the lever that doesn't extend as far over the flat round face of the selector). You can see that lever on the full auto selector, but unfortunately with the long lever on the other (bolt) side: Colt M16/M4 Ambidextrous 3-Position Safety Selector The difference in the levers is easier to see in the photos of the non-ambi selectors - semi vs. auto:

Got mine today. Either Colt redesigned it or it’s not Colt. The short lever is different then the other Colt ambi safeties I have. However the biggest difference is it’s not reversible like the previous Colts. Maybe not a big deal to most but being left handed it’s the biggest selling point for me. Saved me from making the mistake twice. Fellow lefty here...I can tell you the recent batch of CR6700A4s had the real Colt version that’s reversible. I doubt the AU version is Colt. |

Those are not Colt, again with there bullshit. That’s a basic Schmit tool ambi selector with shaved right side lever like Sonics sells for $19.95 G&R tactical had real Colt semi ambi’s a few weeks back for $49 sign up for in stock notification they get them regularly. We already determined in a different thread that they are a Holo Krome fastener. We just need a confirmed thread pitch and length. There is conflicting info if it is 6-32 or 6-40 thread pitch. After that it’s probably $1 shipped in an envelope to anyone that wants one after someone buys a box. On edit, a standard black oxide screw would be $1, it’s possible these screws have something different in them for a coating. |

Just got the mail from Charlie's Custom Clones. I got the same short lever w/CAGE code +red loctite. Couldn't be happier to put this on my mk18. Same as pictured as left. |

Yeah, I would never buy from AU again, ever. I have bought there once. But I'm also an FFL/SOT. I had a customer buy a Colt factory SBR and had it transferred in. It was supposed to be a factory LE6945CQB. Now it was a Colt lower w/ the proper upper. But the box was for a 14.5 in Colt SBR (LE6921 IIRC) and someone had written new info on sticky labels for the 6945CQB over the LE6921 info. To boot, the Form 3 had all the info for the Le6921. What a crap show. |

I had recently got a 6940 around the same time and was pretty lucky it wasn’t me. If your going to sell take off uppers just be honest about it, same with mixmaster rifles. If it isn’t a factory Colt just be honest about it up front and adjust the price accordingly. I’ve never personally been burnt by AU and will most likely buy from them in the future but I go into it well aware of what might happen. |

I don't see an issue and wouldn't terribly bad mouth AU, trying to drive sales away. You just gotta know what could happen.
