Can we get an actual update as to the production of this rifle and the krink? All we've had so far is some heresay release dates and a link to a video from January. Tell us what is holding up production, what the issues are that are causing delays. This is looking more and more like the MP5 debacle, there are people that are willing to pay good money for these promised firearms myself included. |

AKs are selling out within an hour of them posting any for sale. I waited a whole week after asking on here about underfolders. When they came out at 8 am in the morning - I bought one and they were unavailable within 20 minutes. Financially, it makes more sense in this crazy market to concentrate on proven products. Lets say they can make 50 AKs a day in 7.62 - they will have 50 satisfied customers that day. If the 74 isn't quite ready yet, they can waste a lot of resources and have a lot of unsatisfied customers. Let's say the design is complete, and it is ready to produce. If they rush to make a bunch, and there are problems after they are fielded - they have to process returns, get talked about like dogs, and waste potential production time fixing problems. I would buy a AK74 from them RIGHT NOW if they offered one up for sale, but I understand in this craziness you make what will sell and make people happy.

Back in April, they said the 74 would be 8-10 weeks and the 103, and GF4 would be late Q2 or Q3. Today is the end of Q2, so they get here when they get here.
If you haven’t noticed, the global pandemic has messed up supply chains, so they’re probably running a few weeks behind where they want to be. |

View Quote Good news is that neither of those products is a truly "new" product but just changes in current production. They had FN chrome lined barrels in stock last time I looked today, so maybe the 74 and GF4 will happen. They had more AK products in stock when I checked about half hour ago than I have seen in a while. |

View Quote These are super valid points, I have noticed that all the AK variants are sold out daily(I wanted to buy an AK-P in the meantime to keep me satisfied until the release of the 74 and the krink) Whats frustrating is the overinflated prices of kit rifles on gunbroker but I suppose that's to be expected, I'm guessing most of the $2000 bulgy kit builds, vepr variants, and arsenal rifles will go down in value once Palmetto starts cranking out these 74 rifles. I'd also buy one right this second and probably sell off my NIB wasr-10 I bought for collecting reasons for a krink. |
|
Quoted: That is correct! The krink will be Q3 as well. Thanks, Josiah View Quote Thanks for confirming this, really looking forward to purchasing a few. Is there any sort of notification list I can jump on? I'd love to get a phone call/text/email notification upon release. I'd also definitely put a deposit down to secure one as well |
|
Yaaasss. God I hope they meet that Q3 timeline for the krink. And I hope they have plenty ready to sell.

@Palmetto
Is there a specific time this month for the release? I just don't want to miss the release and have them be sold out before I can place my order |
|
|
Gotcha, I do appreciate the responses from you, checking the site every morning and I plan on ordering the very second I see them available

@PalmettoStateArmory
Will the 74's have a side folder option? I am really hoping so as I will be getting one if they do. |
|
The AK103 is on their site as of 7/15, I think the 74 was next in line after that released if I'm not mistaken. Hopefully not too much longer for the 74's!

Not to be a bother I just don’t want to miss out like the ak-e and ak-103 |

I'm going to have to start checking every 2 weeks instead of one around here..
When will the krink pistol be released? after august? |

Same here, Just hope I can snag one before they get sold out!

There are differences between an AK74 and the Krink. Once the AK74 is in full swing, they will start working on the Krink. Getting it right takes some time. We are getting these new releases right the first time. Thanks, Josiah |

So sounds like there is a good chance the Krink will be after election/end of the year. Looks like the rifle will be the one I get. Glad to hear y'all are making sure it is right the first time.

If anyone was wondering about the initial models. Side folders may not be ready at the initial release (whenever that is).

I'm really anticipating the release and range reports on these. 74's are fun guns to shoot.

Any update on the exact release date for the 74's? hopefully any day now! |

Quoted: I'm concerned I'll miss it like the 103. Any idea on the price for the folder? View Quote That's exactly what I'm sayin, that 103 release was whack like they were on the website but we got an announcement that they were releasing "at 4pm or a few hours before" the following day. I never once saw any in stock and checked multiple times a day, signed up for the email notification and haven't received one for either the side folder or fixed stock 103. I hope the 74 is released at a very strict time and not "or a few hours before" and the quantity is enough to where I can afford to miss it by an hour or two |

Something tells me that we will not see that krink this year.
