This challenge is becoming an addiction. I am at .683" with a OBR heavy target of .612". My wife would kill me if I told her I needed a new scope to get a dillo I gotta give Dukhnt credit. That is a mighty fine collection. |

When I asked him about your question, he said that when reloading for semi-automatic rifles, cases are SB sized, but for bolt guns (when you will only be shooting one specific rifle, then neck sizing is fine). Hope this helps. Part of the consistency and accuracy might also be the separating of brass. When he loads, he keeps all the different manufacturers separated. So for the crow and shootist challenge, all those reloads were the same company of brass, they weren't mixed together with different companies. Also, the only reason I was buying the Z-Max over the V-Max is because they came in higher quantity boxes and I was able to save a little money. Now that the 55 grain are next to impossible to find unless they do a special run for someone, we have been buying the V-Max. The primer is a Remington 7 1/2.
