Someone with one of the Stealth 2.0 uppers, what is the inner and outer diameter of the handguard?
I'm curious how it compares to the Geissele Mk8 and Mk14. (I have both, but G doesn't make any in 10.5" length, which is why I'm tempted by the MLOK Stealth 2.0.) |
|
Exactly what I was looking for, thanks! After measuring my Mk14, it seems like it's just as slim horizontally and vertically.

|
Follow up question: what adjustable gas blocks, if any, will fit under the Stealth 2.0 handguard?

Any indication of how long they will be selling the UU kits and lowers? My impression was that it was a limited time.

View Quote FWIW, (and nobody asked me), I think the upper build kits should be a separate product line, with a different lower. I like the uppers, but they just don't fit the lower asthetically. The LT15 is a work of art, and finely finished. The build-kit uppers are not the same grade of finish, and the rear left side lines, just do not flow. A new lower with more angled lines would round out this product line well. |

Quoted: Remember the barrels last year, that got a limited time price reduction, and now a second price reduction. I think it is more a sign of the times in the industry. LaRue, Colt, Stag, you name it. Every manufacturer is trying something to bring business in. Well, maybe not KAC, but that is a whole different story. I think Mark is one of the smarter marketers out there, but there is only so long you can make scarcity attractive, and pay the bills. Buddy just finished his upper build waiting on his lower. Test fired it today on his other lower and sent me these...he’s pretty excited.

Had a little spare time this afternoon and threw my Lower together and on to my upper. I will say that the upper/lower fit was snug but not nearly as light as I was imagining. My BuildAR Reardon Oxide SBR was way tighter. The lower went together great! Very smooth except for the detent that flung across the room! (Rookie error). Can’t wait to run this thing! I had a Griffin Flashcomp pinned and welded to the barrel. And added some Troy sights, WML in BCM Keymod mint, Vortex Sparc AR, and some BCM covers. I’m referring to this as my “Low Cost-A” as I built it as an homage to my brother in laws Costa I’ve drooled over for years now! https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/170073/08665FE4-E5ED-44D5-9E7E-07163594D05E-379913.jpg ETA Decided to take a LaRue Family portrait: (DMR w/BCM lower, 300BO SBR BuildAR, “Low Cost-A” UU, and my go to favorite and very first build - Stealth 5.56 16” on LT Stealth lower) https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/170073/F56DE4FA-8928-4154-B71E-0428B7439FDC-379928.jpg SOON to be joined by my 16” FDE .308 Ultimate build View Quote What are the specs on the FDE carbine? |

Put another of my kits together and the barrel is quite a bit off center at the end of the handguard? Gap is about 0.220" on one side and 0.255" on the other. I pulled the handguard off another UU kit and it was pretty much even so maybe it's just the handguard? https://i.imgur.com/dmeXBmI.jpg View Quote |

I wish there were options for 15" and MLOK hansguards, that's probably the only reason I haven't ordered yet.
|
|
Stupid question.......if I ordered a 14.5 p&w would I have to have it assembled? Or would they already have the barrel nut on the barrel for me (Unassembled)?

Is the deal for the lower still on?
I am about to order an upper but wasn't sure if we still get an opportunity to buy a lower. If so, how does it work? |

I have a dumb question....are you guys lapping your uppers and bedding the barrel with blue locktite? I didn't even know that was a thing but the more I research it, the more I feel like I'm the only one not doing it.

Has anyone ordered one of these with a molk rail yet? It looks like you can order just the Stealth upper that way. Planning on trying to order one after Christmas. Will likely give them a call before ordering.

Is it still worth it to get on of these?? Is there some sale going on? I would probably want to wait for mlok but if that's going to take forever... also, can you order without the tranquillo muzzle brake? I would not need that

Finally had the time to build my 7.62 and 300 BO uppers,
ETA: Found the brake, it was under the LPK and alternate MBT spring. |

Are we posting orders when they are shipped? Thread seems to have died off a little. Also I'm impatient......
