The way they run out so fast, it doesnt look like they are having a problem moving the inventory.

I'm in the same boat(or same headstamp), shot right around 120 rounds today and out of that I had a misfire with a firmly dented primer. Another data point to throw out there. ETA: Proper round count. |
Just curious as I've read through this thread for the 8 month period..............is this latest batch (higher price, 08/29/08) still doing the chrono kinda slow???
TIA |
I would like to use this ammo for 3 gun, but it wont even make minor power factor. If they bumped it even by 50fps. I think this stuff would be great for 200mtrs or less 3 gunnin.
i do not think anybody has chrono'ed it lately |
i shot some of the 500rds i ordered today. it doesn't seem to be quite as hot ac LC and Privi M193. It is still pretty hot though.
Only problem i had today, one of the rounds did not have a primer. =/ other than that it was all gtg |
I just got 1k rounds in a couple weeks ago, and it chrono'd fine. Anywhere from 2850 to almost 2900 fps.....plenty for minor pf. That was from my 18" JP rifle..... |
OK, this is the stuff advertised as "Centurion", right? Are they still using Winchester brass? And either way, is this brass thick enough to reload a few times?
it is Centurion, it is no longer win brass, its marked M193 08 and can be reloaded a few times
Thanks Bryan, I plan on placing an order tomorrow.
Edit: OK, order placed... |
Good stuff.
I've gotten .75 MOA at 100 yds with both my 10FP and precision AR with it. If I had any more room I'd get more. |
Bryan_Aim, et al- My question is this: Is this Really .223? Or 5.56? Looks like the headstamp in the picture of the Winchester case showed .223, but the latest headstamp pictures show 08 over M193. So my concern is that this is loaded to 5.56 specs (Hence the M193 stamp) and not .223. Because as you know, you can safely shoot .223 through a 5.56, but not vice versa. Looking for a definitive answer.
For those that are using this in other than AR-type rifles, what range/accuracy are you getting? Thanx. Cheers, Mark |
This ammo is not loaded to 5.56 pressures/velocities. |

Do you guys email tracking numbers?
I just ordered 500 a few days ago. Thanks. |
went out to river ranch last weekend with my 16in bushmaster and dusted a cinderblock and about 10 beer bottles from approx. 400-450 yards. and NO, i wasn't drunk or drinking when i was shooting. the bottles were from the night before. |

They have a message up on the web page this morning that shipping is slow now due to large amounts of orders. Gee, wonder if that has anything to do with next Tuesday......... Heck, I just ordered six mags and a case of the loose pack myself. |
the UPS computer is supposed to do it automatically, but sometimes it doesn't IM me your zip code and last name and I will check it out.
or send me a email @ [email protected] (remove the remove) |

Bryan,
Has any of the Centurion stuff ever had the Headstamp PSD 07? |

Bryan, Has any of the Centurion stuff ever had the Headstamp PSD 07? not that i have seen, how was yours packaged? |
Well I just did a trade with a guy, he told me it was Centurion. I have ordered some before so I knew what the packaging looked like, the 2- 500 rd bags in the box with the centurion sticker on the side and this is what this guy had, it looked exactly the same so I figured thats's what it was, only when I got home did I look at the headstamps and they say PSD 07. Lot # on the box says KFA08A001-001.
I'm really hoping I didn't get screwed here. I wanted to ask you first before I ask the guy about it. |
it could be centurion still, i have seen three diferent headstamps, Win, PMC and the current M193 08, I am pretty sure what you have is the PMC stuff
Ok well then its a possibility then correct? It's not for sure not from AIM? I also got some Radway from him and the headstamps were correct, no real reason for the guy to dupe me, just looking to make sure.
And it's non corrosive I am assuming? |
Sounds good. So at some point you had a batch of Korean brass come through?
ETA: Nevermind, he got it at Ammotogo, I'll ask them. |

Given the current hysteria (in which, by the way, I am participating) generated by the election results , how soon do you (AIMSurplus) expect - hoping that you DO expect - to get another Centurion shipment?
Thnx! |
if you have not placed a order, it would be 6-8 weeks for a new order
Bryan:
I was unable to place an order (it doesn't show up on the Website), but would like to be able to do so when it becomes available. I just wasn't sure if it WAS going to be available again. So, I guess I'd better keep checking on a several times a week and hope it will show up soon. Right? Thnx Much! ADDENDUM: Took Bryan's advice; backorder placed this morning w/possible delivery before Christmas! Again, THNX! |
Brian:
What is the status of the Centurion .223? Are all your available guns on your website? I haven't seen any used / old police handguns lately. Any idea when or if you'll take walk ups? I hope you're making a lot of $$ for the hassle / effort. Thanks |

Bryan:
I'm sure you haven't needed much advertising lately, but any plans for an email notification to those of us who registered at your website? |

My last order was stamped M193, so is it ok to reload this to 5.56 standards?
Quoted:
My last order was stamped M193, so is it ok to reload this to 5.56 standards? What a headstamp says has nothing to do with reloading pressure specs. It is NEVER OK to reload to 5.56 pressure. That is way beyond SAAMI max pressure. All 5.56 ammo is right on the verge of showing overpressure signs. This is why you often will see flattened primers on 5.56 ammo, especially on really hot summer days. This is also part of the reason the military crimps the primer - to keep those primers in the pocket. This is not something to do with reloads. That said - this is boxer primed brass - just like any other boxer primed brass. It is reloadable.... but there isnt any special "5.56 spec brass". To discuss this further - we should probably take that discussion to the reloading forum. |

ETA on the next shipment?
Thanks in advance! Edit - just got my UPS shipping e-mail...less than a week after placing my backorder. Nice! |
