@DavidY

I picked my Micro Dagger up this afternoon, so I can’t speak to the trigger during live fire just yet. In dry firing it, the trigger feels more crisp when breaking through the wall than my two Daggers. Both of my compacts (to me) feel a bit mushy before the trigger breaks. It’s not anything that bothers me, but I’m trying to speak to your point in your post.

I’m hoping I get to take the micro to the range this weekend to see if it might be a contender to replace the Hellcat as my EDC.

The standard Daggers are mush at best sometimes .  Keep us posted on the trigger and reliability when you can.  Thanks a ton!

I had a Hellcat Pro and the trigger just didn't please me, so I sold it.  I'm not a trigger snob in any way, but I just decided it wasn't for me.  I'm curious to see the comparison.

Thanks for the response, that looks good enough for backup. Did you have to use the Shield RMSc adapter plate for the EPS to fit?

Does anybody have an explanation for the slow roll out of the Micro Dagger? Seems weird to me. First complete guns were spotted a long time ago. Slides and mags have been available for awhile but zero frames for sale and complete guns seem to be on a trickle. What is the point in launching a product like this? Are they using the public for a beta test?

It will bolt up without the plate, but you will need to shorten the screws, and will not have the small back lugs that are on the plate, but I don't see it needing them, because the plate is mounted and not using them either. I'm going to take another look, if you loose the plate the sights will sink lower, so but I am not a fan of plates.

Yep. I will own a micro Dagger or three, but not for awhile. Wait for the initial rush, wait for any bugs to be worked out. I am in no hurry.

Some things I've learned about my Micro so far.

It has run 100% flawless with both PSA 15 round and factory Glock 43x mags.   I have fed it 124 grain TMJ, 147 grain +P XTPs, and 115 grain +P Gold Dots so far.

I did an experiment and swapped in a Shield Arms mag release and tried it with my Shield Arms S15 43x mags.   It ran flawless with Gen 3 mags, but not with Gen 2.  Gen 1 mags did not fit quiet right (would not drop free) so I did not try those.

The optic mount screws it comes with are too long to direct-mount an EPS (I fixed that with a file and about 5 mins work - would have been about 15 seconds if I had powered up the bench grinder - no big deal).   I cut them down to .360 on the left screw, and .350 on the right screw (over the ejector pin channel).

It fits a Safariland Solis holster nicely (super happy with that - around $50 on sale, accommodates the gun with the TLR7Sub and EPS, ALS retention system, and compact/lightweight - fav OWB holster for 43x MOS (and now Micro Dagger) - would also fit a 48, or (presumably) the Micro Daggers with longer slides).

It does not fit any of my 43x holsters that are not 43x MOS holsters (to be fair, my 43x MOS won't fit any of those either).

The slide is pretty much pure Gen 5 Glock - has the breech face notch, teardrop firing pin hole, the updated firing pin safety plunger, has the squared off extractor claw, really pretty indistinguishable from my Gen 5 43x's as far as the internals/engineering look visually.

As to be expected with the breech face notch and Gen 5 type extractor - ejection is vigorous (ie: it kicks brass to the right with a remarkable amount of force, when compared to a Gen3/4 Glock or larger Dagger)

The extractor functions perfectly as a loaded chamber indicator, same as on a Glock (Compact and Full Size daggers do not do this)

The lower does not have roll pins like the Compact or FS Dagger frame, it has push-pins same as a 43x.   However, note, the main push-pin at the trigger visually looks larger diameter than the ones in a 43x - so I don't think those parts are interchangeable.  (this might affect trigger shoe interchangeability also?  this topic deserves some more looking into).

The lower also diverges somewhat from my 43x's, in that it has a coil spring for trigger return instead of that spring+lever assembly I see on the Gen5 43x.    Looks more like a Gen 3 Glock on the inside.

Subjective report

Really liking it so far - the grip feels markedly better in the hand than a 43x, it's more rounded and you get more surface area in contact with your palm.   Ergonomics are definitely improved over a 43x.    Trigger pull seems fairly light and, as Glock-ish triggers go, I'd say it is top notch.    It has run like a sewing machine so far (excepting that little side-trip with Shield Arms gen2 mags), which bodes well.  Chance are good that if this thing passes the 1,000 round mark without any hic-ups, I'll be selling my 43x's and buying more of these.

They say you cannot switch individual trigger parts with the Glock series, you have to change the entire assembly.

Further investigation reveals, the pins are exactly the same diameter (I popped both pins out and used calipers).   The 43x appearing smaller is an optical illusion due to the ends of the 43x pin being beveled, and the Micro pin is not.    So in theory, trigger shoes could be interchanged.

There is no gen 3 g43/48

They would be gen 5 technically, but specific to the slim line models as well with certain parts.

It's not exactly Gen 5 in the lower. Pins the same, trigger seems the same, mag release seems the same  -- but there are differences.  For example, the Micro slide release lever looks like something from a Gen 3/ Glock, and the Micro trigger return spring is Gen 3-ish Glock style, not the new bar-spring thing I see inside my Gen 5 43x.

So the slide seems to be pure Gen 5.  The lower seems to be kind of like the Shadow Systems CR920 lower - it's Glock design/engineering, but not a 1:1 copy of the Gen 5 43x.

Interesting. Post a pics if you can.

I knew it would be different. Glock sued P80 over their 1:1 copy of their slide release/slide lock on their single stack. I figured PSA would do something different with their lower.

I'll pick one up eventually.

Just be aware that if you use Shield Arms mags, I found only the Gen 3 SA mags worked in my Micro (if that matters to you at all).  Was a bit of a bummer for me, as I run all 3 gens of SA mag in my 43x's without issue.

Edit to add - to be clear though, I love the Micro.  The fact it didn't run cleanly with a 3rd party magazine that wasn't designed for it, is in no way a knock on the Micro.

Another thing I learned about my Micro Dagger

Front sight height 0.165 (.004 taller than standard 4.1 mm stock Glock front sight)
Rear sight (from the bottom of the dovetail) .271 (.001 inches lower than the 6.9mm/.272 inch stock Glock rear sight).
The Micro Dagger sights are identical the ones that came on my Compact Dagger slides.
The Micro Dagger will accommodate a slightly wider rear sight than a 43/43x will

So takeaway - you should be able to fit any sights designed for any Glock on a Micro Dagger.   However, not all Glock sights are the same heights/height ratio...

So based on that and Glock's published factory specs, it looks to me like any aftermarket sight set designed for a G20, G20SF, G21, G21SF, G29, G29SF, G30, G30SF, G30S, G31, G32, G36, G36FGR, G40, or G41 will be the identical height (or height ratio) to the factory Micro Dagger sights.

Also, looks like any aftermarket sight set designed for a G17, G19, G22, G23, G24, G26, G27, G33, G34, G35, G37, G38, or G39 will be .016 inches lower in the rear sight, which will lower point of impact at 25 yard about 3 inches.    For those of us who shoot with a "most shots in vaguely center mass at 25 yards is great shooting" mentality, I doubt we'll care at all.   Those of us who shoot for bullseyes at 25 yards probably will care a lot.

Obviously (i hope), watch out for rear sight designs that overhang the dovetail too far to the front or rear, as they may interfere with the optic, or may overhang the rear of the slide by an annoying amount.  Just because it'll fit the dovetail doesn't mean it will fit perfectly.   :)

Hope this helps someone(s).

Picked it up last Wed.  With the holiday I haven't been out to shoot it yet, so I can say it dry fires real good.

Overall fit and finish looks great though.  The trigger mechanism is like a hybrid, sized to the G43/48, but with a gen 3 mechanism as the poster above shows, so here I just installed the Overwatch shoe on the stock trigger bar because I'm not too fond of hinged triggers.

For me, Glock OEM still makes the most sense. These are great looking pistols at a competitive price but they obviously don’t have the track record of Glock. That doesn’t mean others won’t trust them for fun and for carry.

I use Gen 3 Shield Arms magazines that have been 100% reliable to date with every type of ammunition that I’ve used in them. However, I wouldn’t feel outgunned with 10 rounds using OEM magazines either.

ETA: My comment about Glock OEM track record and reliability was more so related to the pistols themselves, as both Shield and PSA 15 rounds capacity magazines are obviously a hotly debated topic that many people are on one side of the conversation of.
