I know what you mean. Still, who did your spagrendel? Did you go with a Lilja or Kreiger barrel? What about feedramps? View Quote |

Thanks for the info.......paraphrasing......'my FDE Grendel shoots as good as my Kreiger barreled tOBR'....is one heck of a validation of the new rig.

it's not that the pictured groups so far aren't great, because they certainly are impressive...but I think the best is yet to come. After somebody gets 100 rds or so down the pipe and works up a load, I bet we will see some very neat groups.
And looking forward to some 5-shot groups. I passed on the FDE Grendel because of the keymod but I'm very envious of you folks. Keep the pics coming. |

These Grendels are sharp lookin rifles....really would have liked the option to get the 260TOBR I purchased in FDE...
|
|
Surely you can find a good Cerakote shop that would love to help you achieve the custom color of your dreams.
|
|
I likely could...and pay hefty sum to have it done by a reputable shop...
My point was I would have liked to have had the option to get the rifle that way when I pre-ordered from LT... |

How much would it cost to get it done by a reputable shop ? View Quote ETA - Probably would have been in the $225 range for a single color if I didn't get all demanding. |

Sticking my nose in here as I'm closely following this thread. I had my 7.62 tOBR done in grey and it was $385. Price included take down, cleaning and reassembly; I had to buy the special colors (2@$50ea) to make the titanium shade, and it would have been even less if I didn't make him tape off the engraved numbering on the upper and top rail (yes, all of them). ETA - Probably would have been in the $225 range for a single color if I didn't get all demanding. View Quote |

Hey, if any of you newly minted LT Grendel owners have a NF NXS 2x10x42mm....i would really love to see a picture of one mounted up in the FDE LT104 on the Grendel.

I have a NF 2.5x10 in a black LT104. I'll mount it on the 6.5 and post a pic when I get home from work, after I mow the lawn, in the summer heat. View Quote I have to admit that the 6.5 Grendel was not on my radar...until LT offered that smokin deal. I placed my order and have been researching the 6.5G ever since. Most of the ability of a 308 in a smaller, lighter package with less recoil. I'm getting excited. The NF NXS 2.5-10 seems like a good fit being only 20 ounces. A light weight rifle, light weight scope, 17rd mags,....a whole lot of capability in a very portable package. As the saying goes, " everything you need and nothing you don't" The $400 tranquilo was a nice touch also. |

Swag box question, for those that have received it.
Mark mentioned 2 boxes of ammo were included, Hornady Black, and something custom. What is the something custom? Got my box today, only had the Hornady (which I already have a case of), so I want to track down this other stuff and see what ti's about. |

Looks like my rifle will be delivered in the next day or two. Haven't seen any tracking for the scope/swag. I assume ya'll got tracking numbers for them?

No worries, that is the difference between good old fashioned face to face conversation and the inter webs.

Thanks for posting the pic...looks great.
I think i may go with the 42mm version. |

I could not see to shoot this morning.
So I switched glasses, to another pair bought same time with same 'script ... could see fine with second pair. Means eyeglasses ain't all they are cracked-up to be. |

Still waiting for mine to ship. No tracking number yet. Can anyone comment on the fit between the upper an lower? Nice and tight like a typical LaRue rifle?
I am planning a Elk hunting trip with this bad boy. Here in Washington state Elk is plentiful. |

Just picked up the rifle from my dealer. No shipping notice on the swag/scope, but the 5.56 barrel and bolt are in the case.

Picked mine up today. Note sure when I'll shoot it, but I'm not a great shot anyway so I'll just make it look bad
I did take mine apart already though. The upper/chassis is pretty light. A couple other interesting things going on. Upper has M4 feed ramps, didn't expect that. Kind of threw off my plan...I was gonna swap the Grendel barrel over to my 556 Predatar (Grendeltar!) and the 556 tar barrel over to my Grendel rifle but that ain't gonna work. I do have a 556 tar barrel with M4 ramps though, so I might still play like around like Legos. Complete rifle sans optic weighs in at exactly what was quoted...nice. Of course the rifle is just *nice* as usual. Makes me want to just get one of every rifle LT offers! ETA: Forgot to mention, the handguard is *really* slim. I prefer mlok but it looks you wouldn't be able to attach anything in line with the gas block, there just isn't much room in there (and keymod does have the advantage in terms of less internal protrusion). |

Made with good components too. If I were hand loading these I'd probably use that same stuff (now that I realize there's a Berger in that weight category). Thanks for sending those and the opportunity to try out something new. View Quote |
