Anyone else get an extra scope ring screw with their CAN? I got mine all mounted up and used 8 screws and noticed one extra laying on the work bench. Is it normal to get an extra or am I missing something?

I had to get my rifle out of the safe to make sure I did not forget to put a screw in. I was cleaning up today and found an extra screw. You all got 9 screws?

Mine was delivered today. I got it all mounted on my larue stealth upper build kit in 5.56. I did 30in/lbs on the bottom and 18in/lbs on the top rings. I did not put blue loctite on them because the larue screws already had red stuff on them. Did not look like I cracked it. Will have to zero it this weekend. Thanks larue it looks good. Hope you make this C.A.N. style mount for the acogs too. I love to move my acogs around and use your normal LT100’s for them. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/296004/F2C57F66-A84D-40B0-865D-4C7ECFEFF1ED-685982.JPG https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/296004/C73B3A97-8793-439B-83FE-13D6379A21D3-685983.JPG View Quote |

Quoted: Thanks, what would you pick that one or a harris larue combo for a 6.5 creed bolt gun? are the legs on the magpul plastic?, seems like they would deflect at higher height settings if they are in fact plastic View Quote |

Anyone know if you can order the mount without the rings? I already have a set of 30mm Larue rings with no home
I also got my shipping notice yesterday. Should be here on Monday, and I'm off this week so hopefully I will get out to the range |

At the end of the day it’s $139 for a mount that has been selling well at $210 for a long time - don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.

Just out of curiosity, why the worry of going 25-30 in-lbs on the rings? Has someone damaged a Vortex tube or internals by going over 15 inches?

Why doesn't Larue need to attach the scope rings to this one, but on the LT104 they do?

I understand that time is money. That was not the point of the question.
I guess it was a better suited question for the LaRue team directly. LaRue stated that the LT-204 was cheaper in part because they didn't have to assemble the rings (saves money in labor, parts picking, etc.). I was wondering if there is something fundamentally different with the LT-104 that requires them to pre-assemble the rings or if they have just chosen to do this? If it is by choice, I wonder if they will sell their other mounts disassembled with the labor cuts passed onto the consumer? My apologies for the lack of explanation in the question. |

This mount is perfect! I am using it on a couple of bolt actions and an AR. It makes switching out much easier. I put the same number of index clips on the AR, as clicks are needed for adjustment, so I don't forget.

I was always told by Percision rifle people that each scope ring needs to be taken off and put back on the same base facing the same way. But with larue it does not matter? View Quote I have no clue, I'm just rambling now. Bottom line, the LT204 rings and base appear to be identical enough to where it doesn't matter. Same fit and tension on each half. |
|
Quoted: My guess is because Larue is a master at machining aluminum. Their unit to unit consistency is probably spot on. Whereas some of the steel rings you see out there by reputable manufacturers (Badger, Seekins ?) take an extra step to make sure the halfs match up to the appropriate base. To eliminate the need of tolerance stacking? I have no clue, I'm just rambling now. Bottom line, the LT204 rings and base appear to be identical enough to where it doesn't matter. Well I got my mount super quick, But larues shipping department did me dirty for the second time now sent me the wrong rings with it Super minor mistake but still annoying when the receipt in the same box has correct size lol

Quoted: I have a lot of Harris bipods. I have used them for years. I wanted to try the MAGPUL because it is a new and simple design as well as being lighter. As far as the choice for a 6.5 Creedmore, that is up to the shooter. Both bipod setups will work well. I have the Harris/LaRue combo on a build I did back in 2008. It is rock solid. On a Picatinny rail, I would be hard-pressed to make a decision between the Harris/LaRue combo and the MAGPUL Picatinny model. For mounting on a M-LOK handguard, I prefer the MAGPUL. I have one AR with a M-LOK handguard with a Harris bipod and a MAGPUL adapter. It works well, but that makes that makes two pieces instead of the one with the MAGPUL bipod. All in all, it boils down to personal preference and how much weight one wants to deal with. View Quote |

Just got mine and mounted up my Accupower. I’ve got to say, this thing is really nice! At the price these things are going for I don’t see any reason to go with anything else at present.

Ordered one with 30mm rings at 9:32 this morning. Had tracking number email at 11:02am. I will have it in-hand tomorrow.

Ordered a mount, oil, and a shirt at 2:14, tracking info at 2:29!
Smolly Hokes you guys are slow! |

I don't have a rifle to put another one on or a scope to use with another one but I am tempted to buy a second one after receiving my 204 yesterday. Hell of a value!!

Love the click adjust of mine. Like stated before, Solid, distinct, and repeatable.
I did notice there is one lug instead of 2 on the SPR, just curious if this makes it easier to manufacture, or has any impact on recoil tolerance. |

Got mine today.
Adjustments are very nice to be able to do by hand. I know the military doesn't need 20MOA mounts but I know they'd sell well to use civilians. I'd replace at least 1 'very precision' 20MOA mount with a Larue version. |

I just got one of these as an anniversary gift. As expected, it's a high quality mount. I love the click adjustment system. I'm going to use it to shift a Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x32 between two Ultimate Upper builds (6.5 Grendel and 5.56).
