Quoted: LOL the dremel wasn't for this rifle. I have a 7" coming on monday that is going on a Brownells FN Socom profile barreled upper I bought a few months ago that came with no handguard. I figured I'd get the FSB and and barrel nut off today. Taper pins came out ok but had a horrendous time getting the barrel nut off, so I dremeled off the delta ring to get a better hold on the nut with the wrench and threw it in the freezer for a few hours. That did the trick and finally came off ... I don't think there was even one drop of grease on the receiver threads, but I'll be good to go now on Monday. View Quote |

So does the LT rail come with a barrel nut wrench?
Or would a Magpul armorers wrench work with this nut? Just dawned on me I’ve never owned a Larue rail of this type. |

Quoted: Magpul armorers wrench will work using the pin side. The nut itself is proprietary, but the holes are of the same pattern as a standard barrel nut. View Quote |

After seeing them installed, I personally am glad I cancelled my order. Might go with a SAT instead down the road.
Also the "M-Lok & Load" Cringey as fuck. |
|
Quoted: I started with my MAGPUL armorers wrench, but pins would not get deep enough to get a good grip on the barrel nut because of the ring. I ended up using an older armorers wrench as it fit perfectly and had no problem tightening the barrel nut. View Quote |

I think the rail looks good. I definitely could go without the Mlok & load. Much cleaner if it just had the Larue emblem.

|
Yep... I'm definitely blacking over that. Or scraping it off. Either way..

I don’t think any of us care for the MLOk and Load but it’s nothing a Birchwood Casey pen can’t fix.

My order ain't gettin' cancelled...mlok and load arriving soon.

7” came today and installed. This one was a little easier just because the 13.2 didn’t fit over the gas block and had to install the gas block and line it up with the rail on but not tightened because there would have been no access to the set screws the way it lined up. Wasn’t a huge issue but this was just a little easier. Also not a big deal but whoever is packing these put the wrong size Allen wrench for the keeper screws in both packages. I mean I have a bag full of allen wrenches so not an issue but still something you might want to look into just with orders going forward.

Could somone with a lat measure the inside diameter? I know it's not round, just a close measurement of the biggest diameter that would fit inside. Looks to be bigger then the sat and standard picatinny larue rails. Thanks

Sending your products out into the great handguard war sporting "M-LOK&Load" is equivalent to sending your troops in wearing UCP. Functional, but could've been better.
But whatever. I'm stil looking forward to mine, and hopefully a UU kit this year, too. |

Quoted: I could care less what it’s called. Well, within reason. I wouldn’t buy it if it was called the “big gay hand Guard” or something like that. M-lok and load isn’t ideal but I don’t care. I still bought a few and will continue to buy them if they are as durable as I suspect they will be View Quote |

Quoted: And, success ? . View Quote Link Two things I wanted to mention regarding the handguard: 1. Using a helical move with, I’m assuming, live tooling to wipe out the thread until it is a full thread is nothing short of brilliant. Much better than chamfering the boss and then threading. 2. The Grip Adapter Panels are fantastic. I put them on another handguard with a similar profile and it just feels right. I should have bought more! ETA: can somebody help? I can’t get the damn picture to work. |

Not really.
