I called Magpul and asked when they would be out. The person on the phone confirmed that they had started production and that they should start shipping in late May.

According to an update on Instagram they're now saying late summer 2018.
Pretty soon they'll be saying Spring 2019 |

I have to wonder if anything was wrong with the ones at SHOT show? It isn't like these stocks don't exist. They exist, people have seen them and touched them at trade shows. So it's either a manufacturing issue, an issue with the product nobody noticed while handling them, or they want a complete line instead of just one stock. If the original short action one for the original rotary mag stocks works just make that one and add the rest later. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Leaving for Alaska the end of next week for their early deer season. Send me one and I'll test it out for you. Include a bipod while you're at it.

Just so I understand this correctly.....this stock should work with my Ruger American Ranch in 5.56? I just need aics style mags in .223? If so, I already have some of the steel and plastic factory Ruger .223 mags for a Ruger scout rifle. They are labeled as aics for Ruger Precision rifle and scout rifle.

Not true. I changed it from a couple of weeks to 10 days when I confirmed the dates, and it's looking like it will be even less time than that. On the bright side, we will have all four colors will be available when they start shipping NEXT WEEK. Yes, that is correct. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

It will fit the action but, depending on the caliber, you will need to find an AICS pattern magazine to feed it as the Bolt Action Magazine Well that comes with the Hunter American only accepts AICS pattern magazines.

I have the stuff to build another PVS14 coming in and I have to say I'm honestly more excited about this stock. Ruger Predator in 6.5 in this stock may end up being one of the better entry level long range guns under $1000.

Already took mine out to 300 on some steel and want to take it to a 600 yard class and maybe even a 1000. Factory stock does not have a high enough comb for me and the foreend is a little flimsy to load up on a bipod with confidence. I love my aluminum bedded chassis Savage but the Ruger weighs so much less and is still sub MOA. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:
Quoted: Yep. I paid $375 for mine. Plus stock. Plus glass. Done! I ended up getting a kydex cheek riser for the comb drop... why the fuck manufacturers put comb drop on a gun with no iron sights and will only be used with fucking optics, is still a bloody mystery to me. I shoved some round bar stock in the buttstock to add weight into the shoulder, and foam filmed it to take the cheap tick sound of it. Then did the epoxy bed in the forend. This added some weight to the gun and stiffened things up a little. The stock mods made the gun more accurate by just a hair, and made it tolerable to shoot. It still doesn't fit quite the way I like. I have a privet range that I can run out to 605 yards. It's 15 min from my house at a buddies ranch. I took a backhoe over there and dumped a few trucks of sand/ Butte rock. Piled it up for him. And I re dress it every few years. Free rifle/ pistol range. |

Thanks for the update.
Please ship a few to Brownell's first, some of the OD green ones. Mark one "for Andy". |

Quoted: My stock was contacting the barrel from the factory. I opened the barrel channel cap up some, but ended up needing a shim between the V bed block and the action to get the barrel to go down the middle of the channel. A .250x .50" piece of light gauge sheet metal (don't remember the #) with some double sided sticky tape to hole it while assembling did the trick. I ended up getting a kydex cheek riser for the comb drop... why the fuck manufacturers put comb drop on a gun with no iron sights and will only be used with fucking optics, is still a bloody mystery to me. View Quote I can't agree more about the factory stock design and I can't wait to change it out for something more comfortable. The awesome factory rifle is being held back by the POS stock. It really is a true sleeper. |

Cool,
It took a week for the bipods to show up at Brownells, so I'm guessing the same will be true for the stocks. Only black picatinny were available. By chance did you ship out all colors of stocks? |
|
Shipping except for FDE.
So when can we expect all of the colors to be available? |
|
All the colors were made available on the website at the time of the announcement but the FDE sold out almost immediately. We will more FDE stocks available on the website soon.
|
|
Only in stock at Magpul right now?
I’m ordering black today. Edit- ordered. Stock. Bipod. T. |
