We apologize for overselling any stripped lowers, the number sold was minimal and the mistake was realized immediately and refunded immediately. When we release a product like this on the market with huge demand and customers order them then call up and either ask for a different marking then what they ordered or cancel because they didnt realize it needed an FFL or one of the many other ridiculous things we hear it screws up our inventory ever so slightly.
All Commandos will go out by weeks end and anyone who got a shipping notification is guaranteed a lower, we had 120 and only listed 110 for sale, anyone who can not wait we have no problem to cancel and refund them if you call in and request such, there are over 100 people on a waiting list for the canceled ones to be relisted... |

View Quote What is suspect to me, is that the LEM4 receiver was pulled from your website all together, yet every other receiver that is "out of stock" is still listed. That doesn't jive. |
|
Wrong. Every stripped lower that runs out of stock EXCEPT for the commandos have been deleted from the site as soon as they are out. This was a one time deal from Colt selling us the stripped lowers and we do not anticipate receiving them again, so no need to keep them on the website.
So you can say you don't think things jive or whatever, but what motive do we have for selling you something that isn't in stock if we refunded it within 24 hours of realizing we made a mistake? You think we needed to collect interest on your $400 for 24 hours? Plenty of customers on this thread who ordered them can attest to receiving them and no one can claim we took money and didn't send something or didn't immediately refund them if it was realized to have been sold when it was out of stock. |

We know at least one M4LE Mexico lower went out...its already on GunBroker. Lol
|
|
There are a few on there, all trading way above what we sold them for...and they all came from us if they are M4LE with Mexico markings

View Quote Am I understanding that you expect that items will be ordered beyond what you have in stock with the expectation that you could sway them toward a less desirable item? But you are willing to give a prompt refund if they don't bite, which makes it O.K.? The "mistake" was realized three hours after you sent me a tracking number? You completely removed the M4LE receiver from your website around the same time I received my "mistake" e-mail. All the other "out of stock" lowers including the LEM4 were listed yesterday around lunch time (I looked, just in case more because available). I had a copy of my receiving FFL e-mailed to you immediately after I ordered the receivers. Obviously, you had it, because you e-mailed me a tracking number. |

You seem to have a hard time understanding. Or are you just being difficult to be difficult?
We are not a small operation that receives 1 or 2 orders a day, we do a substantial number of orders daily, and have millions in inventory but we are not amazon that has every single item barcoded and picked by robots. Our shipping guy prints labels as orders are received, when labels are sorted any firearm labels are given to the one person who deals with firearms, we try to keep the website inventory as accurate as possible, but occassionaly cancellations or fraud orders cause minor discrepancies in quantities (of by just a few), he knows exactly what firearms are in inventory, the model you ordered was oversold to you so he relayed that to our customer service team who reached out to you and told you we can substitute for another Colt lower with a different roll mark (all the same prices) or we can cancel the order and refund immediately. Where are you getting lost in what happened? We made a mistake, within 3 hours of charging your card, as you stated, we reached out and told you we made a mistake, you opted for a refund which we issued without hesitation. Problem solved, case closed. My job is specifically to handle online forums and situations like this, that are actually resolved but your attempt to make us appear to have "wronged you" would look valid if we didn't present the full picture. Sincerely, Ronny Quoted:

I'd say armsunlimited did what they were supposed to do. Realized a mistake, tried to offer another lower then refunded his money. I have 2 commando lowers that I'm waiting for. I'm not concerned they haven't shipped yet. Everyone now wants their package instantly. I am grateful armsunlimited posted in here and gave us the chance to buy these unique lowers.

Sincerely, Ronny View Quote I paid for an item that was listed "in stock." I arranged to provide FFL info. to you, which occurred immediately after I place my order/payment. The next day I receive a tracking number. Three hours later, I receive confirmation that you were out of stock, but offered a different item at the same price. During the same timeframe the item was scrubbed from your website while other "out of stock" items are still posted on your website. You stated this yourself, "When we release a product like this on the market with huge demand and customers order them then call up and either ask for a different marking then what they ordered or cancel because they didnt realize it needed an FFL or one of the many other ridiculous things we hear it screws up our inventory ever so slightly." It appears that you have no issue "accidentally" overselling and taking payment an item, for you anticipate offering a less popular/rare option in it's place, anticipating that most people will bite…. which would be a safe assumption considering that the customer has already paid for the item and initiated the process of arranging an FFL with your establishment. In regard to people canceling…. that would be a surplus issue, not a deficit. Multiple other reputable vendors can sell and inventory their items. Something is seriously ass backwards if you can send tracking for an item that isn't in stock…. and it takes you three hours to identify the mistake. The fact that you fell that my concern is "invalid" just because you gave me a refund the day after I asked for it does't make us square in regard to the time spent placing the order, making arrangements to provide you with my FFL, providing my FFL with the tracking for the package, and the fact you charged my credit card for an item you would not deliver on. Again, dead horse beat. Moving on. Looks like I'll be buying one of these lowers on Gunbroker. Ha! |

Just a coincidence, I'm sure. |

So it's end of week...these commando lowers shipping or Not?
|
|
|
Well they closed 3 hours ago and still not showing movement so another week without shipment. Pathetic. If your that backed up either hire more people or have them work OT. Over two weeks to ship an in stock item is ridiculous. Since this will be SBRed, between AU and ATF I might be able to use it before I croke...
|

I called this morning, and I was told the Colt Commando lowers will be shipping early next week. The person I spoke to said they were really backed up with orders.

How does one get on the "wait list" for a commando? I'm already on the email list.

Every single Commando lower will leave our building by Monday evening.
By Tuesday morning we will know what is left and will be putting them back in stock |

Sorry some of the guys are giving you such a hard time. Thank you for the update and for selling such a unique product. Personally, I'm very excited to get a Colt "Commando" marked lower receiver.
Thanks, 1981 |

Feel free to let me know your Commando order # so we can cancel it for you since you are so unhappy with us by your comments in every single thread
On a lighter note there are 20x more available after all cancellations and that is it! Total of 122 to ever hit the market Quoted:
At this rate, no one will be fired. Looks like their customers won't be coming back. Great way to destroy a business. One final comment on the Commandos, our firearms compliance guy did his best getting these out and making sure nearly every person who ordered 2 received consecutive serial numbers

But ,I also spend money with Midway,Brownells ,CDNN,DSarms etc and in no case have they waited longer than Four days to ship and 90% of the time they ship the next day.Since Arms Unlimited has an online presence I feel they want feedback from their Customers and that is what we have done...More feedback should equate to improved service...That's all I have to say on this matter (Provided they ship today)...PS,Thanks for the consecutive S/N's a nice touch View Quote Someone in their company knew they'd get behind and wanted to pace it better. Someone else figured "screw it, list them!". The first guy was right. That's probably the poor guy sitting all alone doing all the firearm shipping. |

Wow, I already got shipping info! That was fast! any hints on what future Colt stripped lowers will be made available?
|
|
I just relay what I hear from the manager, they sometimes make decisions I am not informed about, thank you for those who understand
The remaining 20 were relisted today and at $50 higher price so those who waited saved $50 per lower and all got consecutive serials if 2 were ordered. They all went out today though and I physically witnessed that. There are a few more lowers that havent been released with different markings which I am expecting them to release this or next week |

People who acted fast and dealt with the wait saved $50.
If you don't like it buy them for $500+ when people go to resell them, because you won't find them anywhere else. Obviously people didn't mind since the remaining 20 sold in under an hour. |

It amazes me that more vendors don't drop off the Internet forums. I realize it's a great way to get the word out to people, but man the hassle that they have to put up with is crazy. I'm not dazzled with aspects of AU's business model either, but if you're a Colt enthusiast, they're tough to beat. IMHO, they don't deserve the bashing that they receive.
|
|
Just an update on the Commando lowers, they've been picked up and they should hopefully reach my FFL by the end of the week.
|

Thank you.
Back in the day you had telephone tough guys, now you have keyboard commandos. The ridicule will come no matter what you do, we can not please everyone. The benefits of putting info out there on forums far out weights the negativity that comes with it. And I am happy to be employed by a company that I can say without a doubt puts the rarest Colt collectibles on the market at prices that are always fair. Quoted:

I'd like to say thanks to AU. This is my first dealings with them. Maybe these didn't ship the exact moment I hit buy but big deal. They posted these here. They didn't have to do that. I'd bet most if not all were bought by members here. I'd really like to say thanks for trying to get everyone consecutive serial numbers who bought 2. That's very cool and I've never had consecutive numbers before. If you want something tomorrow buy it off Amazon. If you want something cool nobody has its worth the wait.

I appreciate AU for releasing rare Colt parts, especially the M4 COMMANDO lowers. The M4 COMMANDO lowers are definitely a rare piece of Colt history for those of us the in the U.S. who were able to score them, because they're special ordered for Prima Armi, which hold exclusive rights as the distributor for Colt firearms in Europe, meaning they're the only official distributor of Colt firearms of all Europe. Another bit of info on these M4 COMMANDO lowers is that every single one is made to be put on either a 14.5 or 12 inch SBR. There is no 16 inch barreled M4 COMMANDO in the European market, only the 14.5 or 12 inch variants.
Thanks again, AU! Is there any info on what these new and unreleased lowers that you can give us? |
