Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if you could help me out regarding some gun laws. I will be passing through on a road trip this summer and want to make sure I am in compliance of local laws.
I am 18 and can OC a handgun here in CO, can a visitor carry in KS? Is there any law that prohibits me from carrying since im 18?
My firearm does NOT need to be in plain view when in a car, as it is considered an extension of your home, is that the case there?

Thanks for any help!

Hi Austin, wish I could help more but my memory is filled with cobwebs.  KS has constitutional carry for 21 and over but IIRC, 18-21 can only open carry.  I am not aware of a restriction on out of state residents.

Take with all applicable caveats and grains of salt.  I'd check with the Kansas State Rifle Association, they have some good knowledgeable folks that can give you as accurate an answer as is available.

Good luck

Find a non emergency number for the Kansas State Patrol. They should be able to answer your questions.
