Washington Named America’s Most Corrupt State, Again
Washington state has once again topped the list of the most corrupt states in the United States, according to a new report by Best Life. The report, which was published on November 18, 2023, used four metrics to measure corruption: number of public corruption convictions per 10,000 residents, number of reported violations by medical providers, states with anti-corruption measures for public officials (S.W.A.M.P. Index), and state integrity score. The whole story here |

Semper Fi!
It is a shame the Democrats did not hate Russia during the cold war. |
What a shithole. Amazing what Inslee has wrecked during his 2.75 terms.

I love Washington and really want to move home, but just not sure if I can do it or not.
At least I still have a Washington ID and address, my guns never left the state. |

With the third-world banana-republic style "election" system we have officially implemented since at least 2004, this does not come as a surprise, isn't it?

Right down to the way we vote.
There is a reason that all mail in voting was adopted by our once great state. I don't ever remember voting for or against all mail in voting. If we did somebody correct me. |

I think it was also sold as an either/or system, but turned into an "only." |

Hmm, I'm in no mood to defend Wa by any stretch but I dont think thats right.

Vermont is the most corrupt U.S. state. View Quote Going to the source for all of this, Best Life, I cant find anything for a recent corruption study. Doing a search of their website for "most corrupt state" returns this, a 2021 study https://bestlifeonline.com/most-corrupt-state-america/ Of course Wa is still in the top 10, so this is no saving grace to Wa by any stretch. But I cant find anything where Wa is ranked #1. Possibly it was a print article in Best Life which didnt get published online. Would be nice to see the original study from Best Life though. |

Thanks Mikeyb
In 2011, the Washington Legislature passed Senate Bill 5124, replacing existing election law with one major caveat that all counties would conduct elections by mail, effectively choosing for Pierce County. Then-Rep. Sam Hunt, told The Olympian at the time, “It will give us one uniform voting system in the state.” Hunt, now a state senator, pushed that legislation for the previous three years, which stalled mainly due to opposition from Pierce County legislators, he said. However, he couldn’t recall significant backlash. |

Frankly, I'm surprised it took this long for this state to get the corruption rep it has always deserved.

Adding RCV to this will make it even better.
