(ham?) near tail gate. Turned west, going to Luther.

Yup it is a ham antenna. That was me on the way to the in laws this morning. Never been noticed before, I feel so special

I noticed the antenna before the BFL. On the way from home (Ankeny) taking son back to ISU.

Maybe we’ll QSO sometime soon.

I do a lot of listening to the Grimes repeater. Don’t get on much due to being a little mic shy. In fact I think I have only been on Grimes once since getting my ticket more than two years ago. I’ll try to put forth more effort now that I know there is a fellow Ankeny ARFcommer listening.

My wife and I went through the process to get licensed (general) a few years ago but neither of us have ever mic'd up. We are on the southside and only have handsets.
