Germantown, Lakeland, Arlington, Eads, Oakland, Piperton, East Memphis (Colonial, Sea Isle, Shady Grove, etc), Hernando, Olive Branch, Southaven, Atoka, Munford are all good to go. Just pick a few closest to your work and drive through them. To the hometown squad. This shitting on cities it getting old. Funny or meaningful once, after that you are just being a dick. Help out or fellow hometowners or just dont reply. |

You said you want a single bedroom, safe, and cheap. You aren’t gonna find anything in a safe area cheap.
Visit before you lease. There’re a few on Germantown PKWY that would seem great, that aren’t. However within a half mile of that there’s a great complex. If you can swing something in Desoto, maybe Southaven, go for it. Feel free to holler at me if you have a question about a specific place, maybe I know. |

One bad incident on the old bridge will mean a 5 hour detour to Memphis until it's cleared. |

Don’t do Arkansas now. Until the bridge is fixed, the commute will suck.
What is your budget for an apartment? There are some nice new apartments at Winchester and Forest Hill Irene. As far as not getting your guns stolen and shooting often. The criminal sort like to try to follow people home from the ranges. Make sure that you don’t drive straight home after visiting an indoor range. Also get a safe or two big enough for your guns. The small 12 gun safes are pretty apartment friendly. Don’t live in the Memphis city limits. Live somewhere serviced by Shelby County Sheriff’s department, or Germantown or Collierville PD. Make sure you have a security cam in your apartment that alerts you when intruders are detected. Shelby County showed up when the asshole who broke into my place was in it. |

I chose Atoka twice, it's the second time I've been told I'm going to work in Memphis by the Imperial Federal Government. If you consider buying a house and putting down roots the Atoka/Munford/Brighton area is GTG, good schools and no Shelby County bureaucracy.

Weird feeling when I noticed how much security they had, and how laid back they were about the holes in that security (kinda like having a HSLD operator guarding the front door, but leaving the back door unguarded with a cheap lock on the door). |
