I am taking my first trip to Cabela's in Triadelphia...but I am staying in Washington, PA.

I am from NW PA and will be staying in the area for 3 days with the wife.   Are there any museums, nice parks or must see gun stores to goto around Washington...BUT NOT IN PITTSBURGH.   I am not going into that #$@%&&^%!    Specifically I am looking for reloading supplies for rifle and shotgun/skeet supplies.

I went to the local AAA office to get some info, but due to this damn Covid shit, they pretty much met us at the door, asked us what we wanted,  and then handed us a map but not much more!

Also, do they have any magazine restrictions or restrictions against AR's in the area?   I know I heard Pittsburgh did but not sure if that was just Pittsburgh or Allegheny county or what and no that I think about it, I don't know what county Washington is in or if I will even be driving thru Allegheny County!

Cabelas was worth a visit when they opened, 15 years ago and before, at their other stores.
Now I wouldn’t waste my time to see aisles of chinese made stuff at inflated prices.  Maybe for fishing lures and rubber baits, but not much else.

Maybe head down route 40 and go see Fort Necessity.  The John Heinz History Center In Pittsburgh is a pretty good museum.

Ace Sporting Goods - if the store is open yet - usually has lots of guns.   Prices are not great but they have lots of stuff you can at least look at.  You will not find good ammo prices there.

There is a machine gun rental shooting range closer to the WV border in Alexandria.  I have never been there myself.

Washington is not really a destination that fits what you want to see or do.

Not sure if Cabelas is still metering people inside, but the last time I traveled through there, the line to get in was loooooong.  I drove on, didn't want to stand in the line. YMMV

Ace is open, I believe.  Their hours have been reduced, at least prior to today, not sure now since we are 'Green'.  They, too, were metering at the door.

Gun laws?  No different than the rest of PA.  W VA reciprocates if you are CCW.  If you purchase a hand gun it needs shipped to PA, normal stuff.

If you go to Fort Necessity, stop and eat at Curt's. Good little family owned place on Route 40.  You're not far from Ohiopyle State Park and Fallingwater from there, either. The Spring House on Route 136 in Eighty Four is also a good place to eat.

Ace is the biggest gun store in the area, but there are a few others.  You're not far from the Meadows Casino and Tanger outlets, if that's your thing.

Gun laws the same. I dont know if they opened the state ranges but i usually go to wexford. As for stores, federal firearms in Oakdale pa. Its north maybe 30 minutes, ask for justin. They have a great selection and arent a bunch of turd salesman toting their 1911s. *cough, ace sporting goods, cough*

Edit. Ace does have the best selection, ive just not had the best experience and they are priced high. Federals doors are locked, just have to call and theyll let you in

The guys at Federal do carry.

I don't shop at Ace because I've had several bad experiences like you have had and there's other places to go and also I don't like their policy of only handing one gun at a time.. the owner of Ace is a good person and so is his son and they're also very generous to some of the local shooting programs so there's that.

I can go to any other gun store I want. If I want to look at seven different guns they'll put them all on the counter and I can look at them all.

Johnson Sporting Goods is  also very generous to the local shooting programs. Pfroggners firearms, Tom and Mary run it.. and JMC Defense, Jordan is the owner.. good people in all those places.

Washington County Machineguns. No disappointments. Just added a Bulgarian AKS74, G36C and a few others.
