People in my AO seem to be living in LaLaland. Local stores are closing up to avoid damage to property and personnel. Getting my family to do any kind of preparation for food insecurity and defense preparation has been like pulling teeth.  "It will never happen here." When I bring up all the infringements of our rights I'm told to look at other countries and be glad we have it so good. I'm trying to meet more of my neighbors by jogging more and making sure to greet each person I see. Nobody seems to think that violence will come to our area. To the best of my knowledge there is no communications network. No neighborhood watch, etc. If something were to happen here we would all be caught off guard.

I think this is an opportune moment to coordinate with our neighbors and members of our communities.

What are you doing to get ready?

I was at the range this morning making sure my varmint gun is good for prairie dogs next week.  There were two separate guys there shooting their pistols and a couple rifles saying they want to be ready if the March here in Duluth goes south.

Myself, I'm just making a beer run before it starts so I don't have to deal with anything if they block traffic.  Otherwise its just another day like any others.

What is your AO?

In Forest Lake its calm, only people being obnoxious are your typical loud bikers.

I heard some people threw bricks off the freeway in the last few days, but cannot verify.

Kids are playing, people are mowing lawns, and hot chicks in stretch pants are out walking and running.

Target is closing at 7 for the next few days/weeks?

Also posted in GD thread.

Mankato, MN:  Protest of up to 500 people last night blocking highways.  Moved a couple miles up to a retail area around midnight.  Bricks/rocks used to attempt break in at River Hills Mall stores.  Target main doors broken in but some protesters defended and stalled looters till police arrived.  T-mobile store looted, another small business downtown looted for sure, may be more.

Word is at least half of group was from out of town.  If you are close to the metro with a decent retail area, watch out for overflow tonight.

Rogers. It just seems like we live in two different worlds. Maybe I need to stop watching the livestreams. I'm glad things are going well for you.

Dunno, haven't left my property in a while.

I will try to do the same just stick to the very local area.

Damn looters. What can be done to prevent that? Would a roadblock operated by locals help? One that only lets locals and essentials through (such as delivery trucks) ?

We've been hanging out at our northern retreat for the last 9 days.     We're 15 miles from a cell signal, let alone a shopping mall.

Tomorrow we return home, were we are still 12 miles from the nearest shopping district.

It's good to not live near any of this crap.

Left Chan on Monday morning.  Not coming back until the A-10s strafe the idiot protestors.

Citywide curfew in Mankato/North Mankato 8pm to 6am.  Plenty of police out, should keep things in check.

Good luck to all those in the metro areas.

Rogers?  WTF.  If I was in Rogers I think my biggest worry would be what to put on the grill tonight.  Some people over think this shit.

So it would be wise to avoid Mankato right now. I was planning on going up to Caribou to shoot a round of clays tomorrow and usually go through Mankato and like top stop on the way home to hit Scheels and Fleet.

They blocked the freeway here in Duluth for 2 hours or so.  They just finished that.  Hopefully that's the end.

I'm on a main thoroughfare through the mall area.  Can hear the yelling and commotion from my yard.  Just hung a game camera and secured all my outdoor stuff.  Police just stormed the group that was throwing rocks.  Thankfully they've all stuck to businesses so it'd have to get bad before i get too worried though I'm a bit concerned.

Just escorted my wife to work.  Streets are empty, curfew is being obeyed.  Hopefully last night was a one off.  Scheels is open, but closing early due to curfew.  Feel free to visit.

Duluth.  They dispersed and moved towards west end.  I expect it'll fizzle out soon.

I suppose you're right. Still, I would rather have a plan with trusted community members than be caught with my pants down.

The corn and soybeans aren't getting out of line.
I'd check to see what my other neighbors are doing, but don't feel like finding my spotting scope and tripod.
Stay safe, OP.

That's awesome, but I thought the Roof Korean requirements included at least one M1 carbine on site?

A few cars without plates filled with 20-something white punks were caught at different gas stations in Eden Prairie trying to steal propane canisters.

I've got the minivan parked facing front end out in the garage so the wife and kid can just drive if need be.

Wife has a route to the cabin that doesn't involve major roads until she's past Monticello

I've got floodlights on all night.

I've got non cellphone comm with a few neighbors

We've got stuff ready to barricade the street at both ends

I have my gear squared away and easily accessable.

Hoses attached to all outside faucets

And, while in not Korean......

The biggest "problem" is that if shit is actually going down where I'm at (thankfully pretty unlikely), the police and FD are NOT responding anytime soon.

It has been interesting this month.  My wife has really come to realize that you can't rely on the police to protect you.  She knew that, but now she KNOWS that.
