I hope to see you there!

AFAIK the event is going forward as planned. See Rep. Metcalfe's (awesome) letter to Gov. Wolf here: http://www.repmetcalfe.com/News/17412/Latest-News/Stand-Your-Ground-Against-Socialism-Metcalfe-Confirms-2020-Right-to-Keep-and-Bear-Arms-Rally-Will-Go-on-Without-Dictator-Wolf%E2%80%99s-Permission-

The guys at PAFOA are definitely still planning to go: http://forum.pafoa.org/showthread.php?t=355035

Parking kinda is terrible. I don't think there's a way to avoid paying for it unless you know someone in the city. That being said there are numerous garages in easy walking distance of the capitol building.

There is some street parking, but i've always just bitten the bullet and paid for a garage.

I'll likely just be carrying a pistol, but there will be people there unarmed and people with rifles in full gear, so you won't be alone regardless of what you pick.
One thing to note is that you cannot enter the capitol building armed. They will check pistols, but not rifles. I doubt it matters this year since i'm sure it will be closed to the public anyway. I'm also not sure about the friendliness of nearby businesses to OC for bathroom purposes lol.

I was under the impression that unless you have a carry permit, you cannot OC during a state of emergency.  Is that true?

What's the point of going armed anyways, if nobody is likely willing to use them?  Cops will just say hand them over and everyone will sheepishly comply.  I could see the point if most of the attendees are ready to FO, but otherwise, its a loss of a good gun to some cock-gobbling goons.

As I've mentioned in Another Thread, that I plan to park out the range of parking meters.
Take little walk, get some ekersize as I like to mispronounce it.

Thought it was canceled until I saw this. Why no tacked thread?

I went to Richmond kinda blind due to work, got to the hotel late so missed the dinner/briefing. Was hoping to do better this time. A tacked thread thread with parking, hotels, comms, rally points etc  would be helpful.
Thanks

IT APPEARS WE WILL HAVE SOME COMPANY ON JUNE 8TH!

Attachment Attached File

George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Duncan Lemp protest being pushed on the same day as the 2A rally. By the same account on facebook that is also pushing anti-government sentiment. I dont have facebook but if any of you do, may be worth digging around on that account to see what you can find. Scobo is the username.

Per parkharrisburg.com:
The Chestnut Street, Walnut Street, River Street & Market Square garages are OPEN for daily parking. All other garages are closed to the public.

An observation from the Richmond (VA) Rattlesnake Rally thread in January: the powers-that-be "convinced" most of the parking garages and parking lots within walking distance of the protest to close "for safety reasons" on the day of the protest. That included the garages cancelling any prepaid reservations of people who had booked a parking spot for that day. Plus, street parking was also shut down in the rally area "for safety reasons". Of course, this was announced only a day or so ahead of the rally, so a lot of people were stuck without parking options, which probably discouraged a lot of people from attending.

Expect our PA tyrants to pull similar shenanigans.
