Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Well, this is a first-Sheepshead fell and spike my foot.

Releasing the slightly small bugger from the hook and fell, spiking the top of my foot. I don't feel anything around it(barb). It has swollen slightly around it, maybe 1/4" and 1 1/2" around. I'm soaking it in hot water and epsom salt, slight oozing of blood, minimal pain. Any other tricks?

I will on my next soak. I think that second one really helped. The heat made the blood flow and hope flushed it well.

Betadine when you finish if you have some.

I got it bad with a catfish spine once.

30 some years ago I had the tip of a busted off grouper spine in my big toe, grew a "pearl" around it by the time I had it removed. Weird.

Pretty much good now. Foot is normal slight bruise and the three punctures that are mostly healed. Thanks!
