Has anyone any new information regarding the Speedbowl ?

I haven't heard anything out of them recently, but I hope they are successful after all the construction and off track legal issues.

If the Speedbowl doesn't make it, Stafford will be the only oval track show in the state very soon.

It's just my gut feeling, but I don't think Comrade Lamont is going to allow them to race this season. If I was running a track I would try and get any construction projects done this year, it would be a great time to pave a track. The surface lasts longer the longer you wait before racing it, and I don't think they will be racing until 2021.

That place used to be awesome!

I live in TN now, but went to the Bowl probably 150 times as a spectator, pit crew, and finally as a driver with New England Antique Racers.  Being out there in a coupe, under the lights, on a Saturday night,  was my own Field of Dreams. Been to a number of tracks, but the Speedbowl is special to me.

I hope the Bowl can weather the storm.
