Come out and help us pay our final respects to a fallen comrade, MMFC George Hanson on June 26th at Love's Truck Stop, Cheyenne, Wy (Northbound I-25, Exit 7). The intent is to line the roadway and render a final salute. Please arrive at 0915.

On December 7, 1941, the USS Oklahoma sank during the attacks on Pearl Harbor. During this attack, 429 members of the USS Oklahoma's crew were tragically killed. MMFC George Hanson was one of the individuals killed who was, at the time, unable to be identified. Only 35 crew members were able to  be identified after the attack. The remaining 394 service men, including Hanson, were laid to rest at the Punchbowl Memorial and their names engraved on the Wall of the Missing. After 78 years, due to recent technology, his remains were finally identified and he is now able to be returned to his hometown of Laramie, Wy.
