I'm a semi displaced hillbilly.  I was born and raised just a few miles south of Huntington in Wayne County.  I moved across the river to Ohio a few years ago but I still think of West Virginia as my home.

Thanks in advance for the info.

Sleepy Creek has a 25, 50, 100 and 200 yard range and its free. Its just over the Mountain in Berkeley CO.

I dont know of any clubs other then the one on LeeTown road but I dont believe they shoot matches. They only take members in January and you have to have a sponsor.

Moved to Bunker Hill, WV in September.  The happiest day of my life was saying good-bye to the People's Republic of Maryland.

By the way, any of you guys get a CLEO sign-off for an SBR in Berkeley County?  If so, how did it go?

I grew up split between Huntington and Los Angeles. I graduated school in Barboursville, then did a year at Marshall. I left for L.A. back in 1982 -- I was 19 and thought WV was a backwards hell-hole with no future. California was calling me. And now I am in exile in Detroit.

This summer I'll be 44, and I'm nearly dead-certain I will be moving back to somewhere in Huntington or Charleston. And going back to Marshall to work on a MS. I have several cousins, two siblings and nieces and nephews that have been there all along.

Funny how what looks terrible at 19 looks darn good later on. . . I guess the state never really leaves you, eh?

Might give [email protected] or (www.ugsfirearms.com) and see what they say.  He's local, class 3 and been said he'll give you a hell-of-a-deal.  Haven't made that move yet, but only because work is taking all my time.

I'm millerized, but you can tell him Daryl (Turnskull) sent ya.  He told me, I'm tellin you. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Yeah  give that guy a shout through e-mail.   I just asked about   Can pricing for  p22 and he went  above what he needed to, in order to get the best pricing he could for me.  I haven't made the  jump yet either, like Miller said. But  I told him i would send  people his way.

Have been a member at the Iazic Walton in below kearneysville for four years now, the last couple of guys I sponsored for the last two years didnt get in, I actually dont look for them to let any new members in for a few years or so.

With at least two thousand members ( four hundred joined the year I did ) they wont be looking to add any new for awhile unfortunatly.

They do shoot matches, archery, muzzloading, .22 lr, and long range rifle. They also have skeet or trap, dont really know the difference myself, every sunday.

Also a place near sleepycreek up in jones springs called westlance arms, nice rifle range and excellent pistol range, Mark also sells guns btw. Havent shot there since joining IW, but if you were an NRA member you could shoot as long as you wanted for 7.50 per range.

Here is a link to info from yahoo about westlance.
