Literally the only question worth asking is: what are we going to do about it?

Nothing no one is going to do anything about it. The parties in power know a full blown conflict between the two parties will do nothing except destroy them and neither part wants that. The government has gotten local authorities in line so that any citizen that doesn't follow the ideological plan is ostracized and persecuted. Just look at the capitol "riot" and the way they are pursuing individuals whenever possible to make examples of. No one is rushing to protect them or help them. Our society is basically turning into exactly what we all thought it would 20yrs ago. A watered down version of most European countries and their loose idea of democracy, or lack there of. Money and corruption is at the root of our government and until it gets beyond the level of "acceptable" corruption in the eyes of the public as a whole we will remain in the fucked up loop we are of fake political parties and the illusion of a choice when you go to the polls. That's just my view on things of course and I barely get by as an adult everyday.

Until there are .gov criminal heads on a pike, lining the road, shit will continue to spiral down.  We all know the destination.
