Getting ready to do another SBR and need to figure out what to put down for CLEO. I live in Sandy, so I am not sure if I should use Sandy PD, the Sheriff or who else?

Thanks

I have used the Sheriff for my sbr and my can. I live in Weber County though.

I drop mine off at the county sheriffs front desk. The kind lady knows what the forms are, let’s me know the sheriff will get them and acknowledges that I have done my part. I’m also in Weber co.

Now that 41p has passed you don't actually need to get a CLEO sign off.

I just use the address of the SLC Sheriffs office and put Rosies name.

After you mail the notification you have fulfilled your obligation so who cares if they throw it away.

If you haven't sent in your form yet be aware that e-forms is back up for form 1's, you can make an account there and supposedly it shaves a couple months off the wait.

I tried the new e-form setup and currently have 3 stamps pending but it has only been 2 months.

Thanks. I should have put more info in the o.p. I was aware I did not need a signature, just a name and address, but wasn’t sure who to use. Rosie it will be.

Sandy PD, in case it hasn't already been mentioned. It's always the CLEO for the smallest PD that oversees your jurisdiction.

I think it has to be your CLEO so Orem PD would work if the buyer lived in Orem, if the buyer was in Provo they would have to use Provo PD or the Utah county sheriff.

At least that is my understanding of the process.
