New data released by U-Haul suggests more people are moving to Colorado than most other states, but it's not to where you'd expect.

Every year, U-Haul tracks its truck transactions within the United States and Canada. The moving company traced over 2 million one-way U-Haul truck transactions this year. U-Haul notes that its report doesn't "correlate directly to population or economic growth." It can, however, offer insights into where movers are moving.

According to U-Haul's Growth Index, Colorado was one of the top-growing states for one-way customer moves in 2023, but it's not No. 1.

Glad they stated it doesn't directly correlate.  I had to rent a U-Haul truck and trailer for a one way trip when my transmission went out on a cross country road trip over the summer as a method to get the vehicle home.

A 26’ truck truck rental signifies more than a 10’ with car dolly I’m sure. I bet a good 10% of more of their business are military moves too

I am highly suspicious that Colorado Springs is not one of the top cities. We've had so many foreigners moving here in the last year or so. Many from CA and TX.
