This was posted in the Ukraine thread. I guess the WI air national guard's fighter group at Truax merits nuclear targeting?  I wonder if my cell phone would still work if it happened while I was in my basement office.

Another map from the fallout shelter time thread. Madison still bites it.

Thanks to nukemap, here's what happens if Madison gets a Russian SS25 aimed at the fighter squadron.

As I suspected, my basement office would definitely keep me alive, but it would sure look bad when I went outside. I don't have enough supplies to stay in my office long enough for the fallout to settle. Gonna need a better supply stash.

Isn't it funny, the wild speculation and fears we had 40 years ago have come back?

Wonder why they'd target their comrades in Madistan?

No one can trust a traitor.  So you get rid of them first.

As long as the wind is in the right direction I maybe OK

Infrastructure is most likely going to fail, and cities will be a living hell in short order. I stopped worrying about it 40 years ago. They are not going away, and I have no control over their launch.

Lorazepam, I'm with ya. This is stuff from when I was a kid. I'm surprised and morbidly amused that the same stuff has become a contemporary issue for people to fret about today, again, after all these years.

I don't think you'll have to worry about Madison getting nuked. They've had a "Nuclear Free Zone" ordinance since 1983 that the Russians will abide by since it will be illegal to drop nukes there.

Is that like those "gun free zones" that the Libs love so much.... and work so damned good?

Radiation is the least of your worries when the supply chain is broken for months.

You mean for years, or decades, don't you?  It's already been broken for months.

I guess I really mean there will be no deliveries to the local walmart or grocery store for months, most likely no power for several weeks. No gasoline, it's back to the 1800's.
