Not yet. I got as far as photographing the inventory that I need to sell in order to make it happen. Went to post them on GB but failed because the credit card on file has been jacked. Grrrrr. New one has arrived but I’ve been too busy to finish.

My personal introduction to wild boar, was in the Bavarian Alps and the German Odenwald.

I think it's hilarious that some people claim that they somehow can't tolerate the environment. It's even more far-fetched that it requires some kind of "super pig" to survive, here.

When they're here and finally recognized, will they fall under the non-game category?

They *should*.
Unfortunately, there is already a lobby going to prevent hunting them, even before they get here. Their battle cry right now, is that hunting doesn't work to control them.

They should be wiped out the moment one puts a foot in MT.

They are the knapweed and zebra mussels of the animal world.

There are places around the world that have tried to eradicate them and the only known way that has shown to be highly effective, is aerial bombardment with some types of poison.  Problem is this had problems that present to other species and have long lasting effects.

Our best hope still lies with Canada. If they can control the population that they have, keep them from needing to spread across the border, then we don't have to worry about cleaning them up on our side.

I would gladly volunteer to help Canada to keep that from happening.

Montana needs to do everything they can to stop that.  We have entire pastures and roads destroyed by the damn things.  I'm talking large chunks of acreage that are nothing more than one giant rut now.  We have roads on our property that are completely dug up and not even recognizable as roads anymore.  You can't fix them because they will be back in the same shape a month later. Yes they are fun to hunt, but fuck does it get old.  Once they get established, you cannot kill enough of them to keep them in check.

That is what I am worried about. Once they get established, they are here for good.

If you have ample food supply in your AO or they adapt to what you have, that is what will happen.  You have to nip it in the bud quickly.  It won't take long for them to establish themselves.  Then you'll have the idiots transporting them to other areas for hunting purposes which will help the spread.

Like I said, they are fun to hunt.  I actually enjoy hunting hogs with archery equipment over hunting deer. However the hunting isn't worth the problems. Some people don't get that until it's too late.
