We are planning a trip to St George Island this year.  Would open top kayaks be OK for fishing on the bay side of the island?

Cant see any reason why it would be an issue as long as the wind is mild. Lots of shallows where people wade fish too. Plenty of people fish off the gulf side from sea kayaks.

FPNI.  It depends on the wind.  If it it mild, you will be GTG.
