HB 2477, designating Pluto as Arizona's official "state planet". Seriously. It has passed both the House and the Senate. This will join our state drink, (lemonade...REALLY? Was tequila already taken?!?), and our state dinosaur, the Sonorasaurus. Egad. Just...egad...I am assuming we will see a bunch of Arizona/Pluto t-shirts in the future...available at Lowell Observatory, (great place to visit, BTW), or online...State 48.5.

At least it's not Uranus.

I know it's a dumb thing to waste time on, but I'm cool with Pluto as the State Planet.  It was discovered at Lowell Observatory, so I get it.

Probably one of the few bills the governor won’t veto!

Hopefully next election we can dump that unless turd

I don't imagine they spent hours debating that bill.

Its not even a planet.

It was a planet when I went to school. What's worse is while the cunning runt vetoed many good bills, she actually signed this one.
