Several local bills have been introduced to the county legislature in response to the SCOTUS decision:

• Clerk Item 151-22 - Requires NCPD to cross-check the names of individuals who are involuntarily transported to facilities for emergency psychiatric care against the pistol license registry.
•    Clerk Item 192-22  - Mandatory firearms storage.
•    Clerk Item 193-22  - Legal assistance for filing ERPO.
•    Clerk Item 194-22  - Requires gun dealers post signs warning of the dangers of firearms.

   

Not surprised as Nassau County has almost always played 2nd fiddle to New York City, trying emulate the more asinine things the city does.

Amazing how many states and municipalities are pushing "Mandatory firearms storage" even though that was ruled unconstitutional 14 years ago in Heller. Short memories these idiot politicians. Question is will the Republican dominated legislature push these through? (of course - New York Republicans almost always claim to support the 2A while stabbing supporters in the back).
