I am in the CHS area and just mounted a Midland in the 4runner. I didn't expect much traffic around here, sea level and all. The only things I am receiving are mostly in Spanish and work talk from the golf course at patriots point. Are there any other GMRS users out there that can offer suggestions or is it the location?
I have a couple baofengs as well, but have them programmed for GMRS and Marine band, in Minecraft of course.

We have a lot of GMRS repeaters in the Greenville/Spartanburg area. You should check the MYGMRS web site for South Carolina repeaters in the Charleston area.
