If somebody wants to listen to the oral arguments, I suggest they have the actual statutes open in a separate tab because they refer to the sections of the law by number without clearly stating what they do. You'll need a program in order to tell the players. This link will help:

http://media-oa.ca8.uscourts.gov/OAaudio/2024/2/231457.MP3Be aware there isn't much discussion of gun laws. In fact, the state of Missouri's lawyer begins his defense of SAPA saying, "this is not a second amendment case. This is a 10th amendment case."
This hearing has almost no discussion about gun laws. It is an esoteric debate about the relationship between state and federal laws. The most interesting part of the law to ARFcom readers -- section 1.420 -- gets almost no attention from the state's attorney. The federal government's attorney briefly discusses the consequences of the gun specific sections starting at about 24:32 in the audio. They quickly get back to legaleeze though.
BTW, the St. Louis Post Dispatch's Tony Messenger dissed on the case and Missouri General Andrew Bailey:
Messenger: For (phony) gun laws in Missouri, words don’t matter. The sky is purple too.
