I used to listen to him a lot back in the day, but quit because of how he treated his staff and talked about guns
Didn't read the link - did he eat a bullet? Last I heard he dealing with a break in to his home but they was several years ago |

RIP Russ Martin. I haven't heard his show much since the starting time was moved to 5:00.

I never listened to him, but he did a TV show in the late 80's early 90's with JD Ryan I think. I was a TV fan for a year or two in high school. Russ played more or less the goofy one of the pair.

I worked on the TV show as a producer for about a season and a half.
Hot Tickets was on KDAF-TV33, then moved to KTXA-21 as Hot TV. It was a great show to work on. Russ worked like a dog to get the show on the air and we had a fun. TVone. |

Curious if it was health issues catching up finally, or suicide. Feel bad for his friends from the show. Maybe we'll get a Dan Omalley show now.

For the last year or two I’ve only listened when Russ wasn’t involved so we will see. The other guys have been keeping it running since the invasion so hopefully whoever is in charge recognizes that work and keeps them on. Pretty sure it’s going to be health. Wasn’t it late last year or mid last year he was found in responsive? |

It’s either gonna be health related or he finally ate a bullet. The “a tip line has been set up” schtick is a joke.
His health was circling the toilet. It seemed like after his first major incident (2-3 years ago) he had a slew of hospital stays, complications, trips to the ER, meds had him drugged out, etc He was barley on in the last year when they were on their old 3-7 time slot. They whittled it down to 2 hours I think he was actually phoning in. Once skin and flute took over 3-5 I don’t think Russ was ever on. |

I remember him from KRLD in the early 00s, seemed like a funny guy but I was really only listening to Stern at that time. I'd be interested to hear what the cause of death was.

 Attached FileI ran across this a week or two back. Every time I see something like that and everyone is tight lipped, I assume the worst. Hey, if you’re a public figure and this is your public relations strategy, it’s your own fault that people question what really happened. |
