Recently moved from Pennsylvania to North Carolina and am in search of a local 2A attorney who can review my firearms trust for compliance with any state specific requirements/restrictions. Does anyone have any good recommendations? Preferably in the Charlotte area but open to any experienced attorney in NC.

My first trust for NFA items was by this place: http://providencewillsandtrusts.com/ (it was www.setzerlaw.com at the time, but now redirects...same guy listed, Zachary Setzer)

I’ve known him through friends for probably 30+ years, but not much actual experience with the legal stuff other than the initial setup of the trust.

He's local to where I grew up. Interesting.

He’s a first cousin of my best friend growing up. As in I was his best man and we were roommates after college.

Went to my appointment for my trust without recognizing his last name, which isn’t the same as my friend’s. After we were done, he asked me if I was the same person that he was in the wedding with back in ‘98. I’d been around him many times as a teenager, but hadn’t seen him in many years. He’s several years younger than me.

How long did it take ATF to approve your “traveling papers” 5320 etc? I’m going to be in the same boat before the summer is over.

There is a tracking thread in the Gen NFA section. Most are coming back in 3 weeks or less. Email them in, approval in a week or so, then time for them to run through their overly-slow shipping process.
