RICAGV has
"Colluded" with other Left-leaning groups. This is not exactly "News", bit this time it's a little different-- and much more insidious.
On 30 AUG 2018, the Providence Journal posted the following (full quote):
"PROVIDENCE, R.I. An anti-gun coalition has joined forces, and money, with an abortion-rights PAC to help a handful of Rhode Island state lawmakers including progressive state Rep. Moira Walsh fight off challengers.
Walsh is fighting to keep her Providence seat in the face of a House leadership-backed challenge from former Republican Michael Earnheart in the Sept. 12 Democratic primary.
Planned Parenthood Votes! Rhode Island and The Rhode Island Coalition Against Gun Violence are working together as the RI Values Project, according to independent expenditure filings over the last several days with the state Board of Elections.
The two advocacy groups each contributed $11,984.50 to the new organization, which has paid $17,169 so far to Mach3Media and $6,800 to Citizens' Campaign Inc. for mailers and door-to-door canvassers to promote seven Democratic incumbents. In addition to Walsh, they are Reps. Carol Hagan McEntee, D-South Kingstown; Marcia Ranglin-Vassell, D-Providence; and Katherine Kazarian, D-East Providence; and Sen. Jeanine Calkin, D-Warwick, according to an Aug. 29 filing with the elections board.
The two groups are also backing Liana Cassar for the House seat that Barrington Democrat Joy Hearn is giving up, and Laufton Ascencao for the House seat opened by Bristol Democrat Kenneth Marshall's decision not to seek reelection, according to their filings."
Note that the newly spawned "RI Values Project" has nothing in its' name to suggest funding by either RICAGV or Planned Parenthood Votes! RI. So, people interested in the goals of the spawn organization may be unaware of the ultimate funding sources-- and their ultimate goals.

In a similar, equally sly move, RICAGV and the Rhode Island National Organization For Women, in an article in the Providence Journal, on 19 OCT 2018, announced that they were
"Colluding" to spawn another a new, political organization, "Citizens for a Corruption-Free Rhode Island", with the first $5000 going towards a public mailing attempting to unseat current House speaker Nicholas Matiello. Due to his political position, and his stance on firearms issues, the two partners have decided to take him out.
Again note that the spawned organization's name does not describe the two donor organizations, and similar to above situation, well-intended people may be duped into supporting an organization whose "parent" organizations' views on issues do not mesh well with the views of many members of the new organization. The phrase "useful idiots comes to mind.
In a side note, while doing some research for this piece, I noticed that nowhere in RICAGV's site is there a financial statement available to the public. This is in contrast to the RI Coalition Against Domestic Violence, which
does make financial reports available on their web site.
One wonders where RICAGV gets their funding. Is it from within RI, or from out of State? A variety of donors from all areas of society, or a few wealthy ones with their own political agenda? Anyone having
FACTS about RICAGV's financing should feel free to contact me. I promise anonymity.
ETA: It appears that Alan Hassenfeld (Of Hasbro fame) has poured some money into defeating some pro-RKBI candidates in the past, as well as supporting some "Progressive", A/K/A Socialist candidates:
