I have been there several times over the last 25 years when in Jax on business, and went there back in September for what will probably be the last time. The place is past it’s prime and just looks like a rundown place now. My steak was terrible- like maybe even worse than those old Ponderosa places. Sad because the place has character, but it sucks now.

Both Whiteys and Clark’s are still open and doing well.

I gotta say, Whiteys has improved a lot in the past few years from when I first moved out to that area in 2012. Food and service are not bad at all.

I remember tossing catfish bones to the gators at Clark's in the 80's

We were there end of last month. They were out of steak.
 Other than that, the food was good, service was decent. We're looking to [go] back again when the kids come up to visit.
