Testifying is a lot easier than you would think. All the information you need is below. At the VERY LEAST you can spend a few minutes to write testimony. The anti-gun side is motivated and will be emboldened if YOU let any more anti-gun legislation go unchecked.

The Judiciary Committee will hold a
public hearing on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. via Zoom. The public hearing can be viewed via
YouTube Live. In addition, the public hearing may be broadcast live on
CT-N.com.

H.B. 6491 AN ACT CONCERNING NONLETHAL ELECTRONIC DEFENSE WEAPONS.
Two ways to advocate for your rights at the public hearing.
1) Email written testimony by 8A.M. Friday, March 5th (earlier the better).
2) Sign up to
testify virtually via Zoom or telephone.
You don’t need to be an expert to advocate for your rights. Judiciary Committee Members need to hear from us. A short simple email or testimony is fine.
Individuals who wish to testify via Zoom must register using the
On-line Testimony Registration Form. Registration will close on Thursday, March 4 at 3:00 P.M. If you do not have internet access, you may provide testimony via telephone. To register to testify by phone, call the Phone Registrant Line at (860) 240-5255 to leave your contact information.

Speaker order will be listed in a randomized order and posted on the
Judiciary Committee website on Friday, March 5 at 8:00 A.M. under Public Hearing date. The first hour of the hearing is reserved for state officials and legislators. Speakers will be limited to three minutes of testimony.
All public hearing testimony, written and spoken, is public information.
