Project Appleseed is hosting rifle clinics at a number of ranges in Kansas this year.
You can sign up for all the Kansas events at this link. The final 2021 clinic is October 16-17 at Air Capital Gun Club near Wichita KS. .22 LR only at this range! ACGC is a rimfire only range so please leave the centerfire rifles at home. After a very long wait S&W M&P 15/22 rifles are welcome on the line again! If ammo availability is a concern we have some .22LR ammunition we can provide at our cost of $10/100 (CCI SV) for use at the event. We can’t supply everyone but if you’re unable to find any ammo or need a little more to do the whole class we can help. Please email or PM me for details.  Attached FileAt most Project Appleseed clinics centerfire rifles are welcome. Some events are limited to .22LR only. Check the individual event for caliber restrictions. Any rifle action and any sighting system is allowed but the course of fire is designed around removable magazine fed semi-auto rifles.  Attached FileCompleted! March 13 & March 14 - Half Day Appleseed - Bone Creek Gun Club near Pittsburg New for Appleseed in 2021 are half day clinics. Each day is a stand alone 4 hour class running from 1 PM - 5 PM. Sunday is a repeat of Saturday's class. March 13th Facebook event page March 14th Facebook event page You'll learn how to hit targets up to 500 yards away from the prone position using nothing but a sling to stabilize the rifle. Instead of walking 500 yards back and forth we'll use reduced size targets at 25 meters to represent targets up to 500 yards away. During the class we'll cover optimizing your rifle and sling set up, establishing a stable position with your body's natural point of aim, proper trigger control and follow through as well as correct sight alignment and sight picture. Total round count will be 100-150 rounds for the half day clinic.  Attached FileCompleted! April 17-18 - 2 day Project Appleseed 25 meter rifle clinic - Bone Creek Gun Club near Pittsburg During this traditional 2 day rifle clinic students will learn how to fire accurate shots from the standing, kneeling, seated and prone positions. April 17-18 Facebook event page Students will learn the six steps to firing a shot, how to zero their rifle, bullet drop and sight holds at different distances as well as their personal maximum effective range and much more. Due to the current ammo shortage we are reducing the total round count of a 2 day rifle clinic to 300-400 rounds. In addition to live fire drills students will learn multiple dry fire drills designed to teach all the elements of accurate riflery without burning valuable ammo.  Attached FileProject Appleseed clinics are held rain, snow or shine as long as it’s safe to drive. Dress accordingly and bring food, water, snacks and anything else you need for a full day on the range.
