I'm in the mood for pizza and I'm willing to go to Columbia to get it because Sumter doesn't have jakk schidt for pizza.

I detest doughy floppy pizza.

So are there any favs in Columbia?

I found this article:

Are any of these on your list?

Our favorite is Nicks House of Pizza on Sunset in West Columbia. (Not related to the Nicks Gyros and subs scattered around Columbia.) Get the House special Pizza or try Nicks Extra House Special.

That brick oven place on Devine is good.  I think it's called Za's.

I might give Cucinellas a shot.

il Focolare is too hipster woke for my taste. Not going to patronize someplace that required proof of vaccination in order to gain entrance. There was also some sort of kerfuffle with the local leftists and co-owner cancel-culturing the former co-owner/chef back when the place was Citta del Cotone.

I don't eat pizza much outside of cauliflower crust stuff I get at Costco because I've become doughy and floppy.  Anyhow, here's a good list of options from COLAToday:

Have you tried the Lugoff House of Pizza?  Best I’ve had in a long time.

Very’s Great Philly Food on Two Notch near the old Columbia Mall is pretty good too.

Do Columbians go to Lugoff? Two Notch is sketch. Best Pizza I have ever had was in Flagstaff AZ, Fratellis Pizza. Unreal but talk about far from Lugoff!

Another pizza question….are there any pizza buffet options in Columbia?   There are some good ones in Greenville and Anderson but I’ve found nothing in Columbia.  I’m in the city  a couple of times a week and the only option seems to be CiCi’s and that’s a big NO.

Very’s I mentioned above use to have a lunch buffet pre-covid.  It would be worth calling and asking.  That area of Two Notch is fine during that time of the day.
Looks like they have a Saturday night buffet.  I wouldn’t visit that area on a Saturday night.

I 3rd Cucinellas. It's not a bad deal either, considering how large the slices are.

Come on now- you can't just post that knowing we can't have any.

Disregard, just saw you put fuzzy disgusting fish on it.

OK, kinda redeemed but needs more meat.  I'll eat most anything on pizza, including pineapple, but not anchovies (and I lived in Asia for a while and still eat a lot of Asian foods, which obviously has fish sauce in it ).
