Hello neighbors, I’ll be going to the BYU-UAB bowl game and think I’ll be needing to stop around Vicksburg for a bite.

Are there any good restaurants in or near Vicksburg?

What about bad areas to avoid?

10 South probably has the best views. Walnut Hills is probably the best southern experience. If you want something a little more fancy try Anchuca. A lot of folks like Rusty's but I have not personally been yet.

Not as far as I'm concerned.

If it's in the daytime, you can try Rusty's Riverfront Grill:

ETA: There are no particularly unsafe places. But I don't go down town after dark just because there is always a little risk and I go to bed around sun down.

We only stayed at the hotel long enough to shower, sleep, and grab a coffee on the way out the door.

We ended up taking a minor detour off of I-20 to Flowood to Another Broken Egg for brunch on the way back.

I had several people comment on my UAB shirt saying that they watched the game and was glad that UAB beat BYU.
