View Quote Fudd's and Luby's were in trouble before COVID. that was just the last straw that finished them off. They had been up for sale for a while, but no buyers were interested enough. The company just decided to pull the plug on it and liquidate the assets and return the money to the shareholders sooner than later. |

If you come up with a rally point location and day give me a call at (deleted). I am about an hour from McKinney

Dick pics inbound! Anyone on bookface interested a group that has right now about 40 members? It was setup by Lug1 as a backup comms location. Shoot me a message and I'll send a link. |

Quoted: Buc-ee's #16 parking lot in Giddings. Bring your own lawn chair. View Quote That's actually *NOT* a bad idea... The Buc-ee's around DFW are essentially a ring based on the major thoroughfares into the metroplex: Attached File We could use those as a primary RP to allow folks to gather, redistribute, coordinate and move to an assembly area. |

For impromptu comms, Zello might be worth considering.
Zello made the news in June 2013 when Turkish protesters used it to circumvent government censors.[9] As a result, Zello was the top most downloaded application in Turkey during the first week of June 2013.[10] In February 2014, it was blocked by CANTV in Venezuela. Zello issued workarounds and patches to overcome the blocks to support approximately 600,000 Venezuelans who have downloaded the application to communicate with each other amidst protests.[11] It "has been one of the most downloaded applications in Ukraine and Venezuela."[12] View Quote EDIT: Looks like Zello has gone woke. |

Parler has posted that Amazon Web Services is shutting them down tomorrow night.
AWS also hosts ARFCOM. This is no longer a conspiracy theory. |

View Quote This sucks but in the long term may end up being a good thing. With apple, google and Amazon doing this all at one time it’s going to be hard for them not to be found guilty of anti trust and collusion. They allow groups to use their systems that advocate for violence against conservatives so they can’t really claim this is why they are trying to destroy a competitor. Liberals always push it to far and force the courts to punish them in the end. Edit: pro democracy web pages are now being blocked in Hong Kong. Strange timing that 3 of the largest companies that make a very large portion of their money because of China are doing this. |

View Quote Indeed, quite the handy app |

Quoted: I don't really use it aside managing some pages that I admin. Rare that I post anything. View Quote I was doing admin on a couple of pretty big pages. In the end, it was herding cats and I got tired of it. I left a couple of small groups running, but they have no active admin so there will be no new members. I've only deactivated (because actual account deletion takes an act of God), but that's like 3 months ago. I'm not planning to go back. Too many 5th graders masquerading as adults. |

A rally point? Like if Parler goes to the dump, everyone heads over to the rally point? What are we afraid of, zee Germans?

Anybody on Signal ????
they are having.... network issues ..... https://www.reddit.com/r/signal/ |
|
Signal is only dependent on a cell/network connection and still seems like the easiest and quickest solution. The only drawback is if there's an AROCK among us, thank God that fucker's dead. I've met many of the NTX members and have no reason to think that's the case. Anyone interested in compiling a phone list?

Someone would need to filter out any unknowns. |

I like the Buc-ees idea.
if the shit starts hitting the fan, consider Buc-ees a rally point. the password is "87" |
|
I like the Anna Buc-ees as well. If anyone is compiling a list, message me for my phone #.

A rally point != communications. Are you guys just going to hang at Buc-ee's and ask everyone walking by about imitation crab meat?

Quoted: Just sent my contact stuff too. Any other members of the old DFW crew around? @Bulldawg View Quote I'm around. Seems a good chunk of that crew turned out to be flakes or otherwise found other interests or criminal records, so I'm not sure who else may be lurking. I haven't participated in a meet-up since then, so I don't think anyone here would know me except for a couple of people I personally know. @CMOS is still around, but he's not in the D/FW area. |

One of my patrols in Boy Scouts was the Beavers.
Is @mah827 officially volunteering as the troop scribe? I'm closest to the Denton Buc-ee's, then the Speedway. Melissa is a more of a hike but at least on the right side of the metroplex. |

For those that haven't seen it - https://inteltechniques.com/messaging.html (more green = more better, but assess your needs) Signal is easy, but I don't believe supports group chat and is only as secure as your phone is/computer is. Wire looks like an interesting option that doesn't require payment or a phone #. Threema is supposed to be good, but they require payment. Not sure if anonymous payment options are readily available without doing extra work. I'm in the crowd that prefers to keep my mobile devices as clean as possible because I see them as a higher risk to confidentiality due to loss or exploitation.
I've only met a few folks here in the past, Battle Road, WTF, and an Arfcom NV event in Rockwall a few years back are the most likley places... Maybe we've crossed paths at a local range. I'm closer to the Royce City Buc-ees but I roam to the north side occasionally. |

Buc-ee's has already been reeeeee-ed by various socialists - example here.
