Wife and I reenlisted for it and got word back this morning we were approved. Still have my cabin behind Ivory Jacks and my F-350 is still running up there, so it will be a good transition us and our soon to be born son.

Congrats.  I probably won't be back.  Probably headed to Ontario in 3 weeks from where I am now.  The thought of going East used to give me chills.  Now, whatever...

20 years ago, I never would have left the state.  I took crap jobs instead of working in my field 20 years ago.  That hurt my career big time.

Now, with my job field steady and declining, and crime going through the roof, Alaska is in for a tough time.  Already, better houses in our neighborhood are selling for 40k less than we sold our house for last fall.
