We got here a little late

My folks landed in Galveston from Germany in 1845 and made it to Llano County and were a founding family of Castell in 1847.

The old rock house is still standing and still in use to this day right on the Llano River.

Visited the Washington on the Brazos park today.
Held Lodge in the replica building......where the Declaration of Independence was signed, 185 yrs ago.
The building has cloth curtains, cowhide bottom chairs, wood tables, benches, etc.

At the museum center....we had a great chicken fried steak lunch, with peach cobbler and blue bell.

Great fellowship.....
