The nuclear industry to very particular; so the better the head on their shoulders, the more likely they'll make it. It's really not a good fit for trying to get a 30yr old son out of the basement...

Prior military service or LE experience all helps!

Pay appears to be lucrative.

Security guards making nearly what I do as a LEO.... Looks like a decent gig.

I used to work security for Monticello Nuclear plant years ago. Pay is descent but back then rotating shifts, 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am. Swung every week. Monticello switched after I left to either strictly days or nights. Prairie Island still swings each week as far as I know. Messes with your body swinging each week. Reason why I left after the second time waking up driving in the ditch going home. Would have stayed if they switched to straight days or nights.

Monti is still straight days and night, basically.

But will be hiring again soon enough.

Prairie Island is rotating shifts, but every like 5 weeks now.

Pay makes it a VERY good option. Prior service look here!
