Another day another hike. Let's do six miles to pace with standard load-out. If you have a helmet and NVG, bring that too - all that weight up there adds a whole new dimension to the workout.

Wait, what?

I thought the law change - which allowed localities to ban guns on public property - was for EVENTS only, not permanent.

Nope, permanent, but per VA code a sign is required at every entry point. While BoS voted "yes" they're "still in the process of determining fiscal impact." They'll need formal signage for this to actually take effect, which means printing, mounting, at all entrances at a time of budget shortfalls everywhere. They could have spent that money on working learn from home infrastructure for Fairfax county students - and that's something they need to get beat over the head with this election.

ETA: "Its for the children!" "You took the money better spent on schools, they can't read the sign!"

Sorry, I am out. I got a ton of work dumped on top of me (big government contract, and I am in charge of a big chunk of it, and there are deadlines next week). I am going to be completely swamped this week and next (and this weekend).

I hate being busy.
