Decided to fish a little this morning, stopped in Walmart (US-1) to pick up some bait.

The cooler where they keep the earthworms is next to the Sporting Goods counter, there were no guns in the rack. None.

Another panic gun run, or WM being paranoid?

PS: Too windy to fish this morning. Got worms, so maybe tomorrow . . .

???? Since when did you develop a taste for "guns of Walmart?"

They scaled way back to shotguns, .22s and a very few bolt action rifles. Don't get me started on evil ammo.  Probably folks came in and grabbed the two shotguns they had for ripocolypse.

A few days ago there were several Henry lever guns in the rack, including at least one .45-70.

Last week ATF robo called all FFL's and asked them to secure the firearms inventory due to looting

Walmart also removes firearms from the public display overnight. Usually pull them around 10-11pm and replaces them around 8am.
So, all depends on what times you were in there.

If they don't have the ability to prevent them from winding up in the hands of looters, this seems to be a perfectly logical and responsible action.
