Curious to know if anyone on the Idaho forum is a native Idahoan? Or are all of you transplants?
By the way I'm a 3rd Generation.

Does it count if I married a native (no pics)...she grew up around the corner of Cole and Fairview in BOI.  Moved to CA after high school as she was tired of "small town living"...at that time, the world ended at Cole road and a 2 lane gravel highway took you to Meridian.  Nothing between the 2 but farms and dairies.

We spent a few years in CA and moved the eff out to TX.  From TX to ID happened in 2002.  We're beyond thankful that we GTFO of CA.

Came here this summer from Oregon. We lived in what used to be a small suburb of Portlandia. The wife and I decided to peacefully revoke our consent to be governed by that state. Joined the Idaho 2nd Amendment Alliance about five minutes after arriving, have written our reps, etc etc.

We didn't buy new construction either. The endless subdivisions were what ruined our last small town.

Born in Boise 1951,  68 years full time resident.  Third Generation.  I can remember my dad bringing us home after a picnic in Idaho City.  Lucky Peak Dam was being built.  POP sign entering Boise was something like Boise POP 26,000

Remember taking my shotgun to school and hunting pheasants in the corn fields along Cole and Cloverdale roads.

Times are a changing.

I'm transplant as fuck. Born in Alabama, raised as a missionary's kid all over this planet, thought I was going to settle down in California...nope...fuck that place...

The sad thing is, I think I'm not going to get twenty years here before I move to Wyoming. After that, North Dakota. The liberal disease isn't going to trash this entire nation before I die!

I'm not a native but my kid is.  I've been here 12 years this July.  In another few years I'll have lived here longer than I've lived anywhere else.

It's kind of funny here for me.  I'll kind of start getting annoyed with living here and I'll want to move.  I go on vacation and I'm ready to be back in Idaho within a few days.  I'm not a real fan of the Boise area, but it's far better than most places I've been to.

I was born in Florida, but I am embarrassed to tell anyone that.

Wife is from Texas, but comes from about 3 generations of Idahoans.  Not sure if that counts.
