Dear Senator Steube:

On behalf of our six million members across the country, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is proud to endorse your candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives in the August 28, 2018, Republican primary for the 17th Congressional District of Florida.

Thank you for standing strong for freedom and defending NRA members and law-abiding gun owners in Florida. Based on your leadership on Second Amendment issues in the Florida Legislature, you have earned the highest attainable rating, an " A+", from NRA-PVF. An " A+" is reserved for a legislator with not only an excellent voting record on all critical NRA issues, but who has also made a vigorous effort to promote and defend the Second Amendment.

As a member of the Florida Senate and Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, you have been a leader on expanding Second Amendment protections for Floridians. We are grateful that you sponsored numerous pieces of pro­ gun legislation, which would enable law-abiding citizens to carry a concealed handgun in Florida public areas. In addition , you have also stated your strong support for Right-to-Carry reciprocity legislation, which would ensure that the nearly 20 million law-abiding Americans who can carry a concealed firearm in their home state are able to do so in any other state that does not prohibit concealed carry.

Moreover, we applaud not only your vote against SB 7026, which denies Second Amendment rights to law abiding adults, imposes outdated waiting periods for firearm purchases and denies individuals their right to due process, but also your tireless efforts to stop the unconstitutional bill.

Furthermore, we commend you for your support of the repeal of an Obama-era regulation that would have stripped Social Security recipients of their Second Amendment rights without due process, and for legislation to protect veterans' Second Amendment rights.

Finally, thank you for consistently opposing all attempts to ban lawfully-owned firearms, magazines and ammunition, and standing strong against the Pelosi/Schumer/Bloomberggun control agenda.

Congratulations on your "A+" rating and endorsement, and thank you for your steadfast support of the Second Amendment. Good luck with your campaign, and we look forward to our continued relationship.

He's been the best we've had since Senator Greg Evers (rip).

I back Stuebe.... he waffled towards the end when it came to bringing them to vote to get a record. But he is in our camp and he faced an uphill battle with Negron threatening his bills in other committees.
